There’s no kind way to tell my wife that she’s getting too big, is there?

I fully expect downvotes, because Reddit, but I’ve been married to my wife for 24 years. I love her very much. Her weight has fluctuated and she’s always been a little on the heavy side and that’s fine. Over the last year, she’s ballooned up ALOT, though. I don’t know her exact weight but I’d guess somewhere between 220-250lbs and she’s very short. We used to take lots of walks and now she’s getting more and more sedentary.

My problem is that she is very sensitive and I don’t want to hurt her. My job is physically demanding and I don’t exercise but I have tried to show interest in it so we can do it together “for health”. We eat fairly well and rarely eat fast food or junk so there isn’t much I can do there.

I have quickly lost all physical attraction to her but I don’t want to hurt her. There isn’t anything more I can do without hurting her, is there?

EDIT- The amount of replies is crazy. I appreciate alot of the advice. One correction I need to add is that her health is obviously my #1 concern. I don’t know what my world would be without her. I’ve been with her since we were teenagers. I do not know who I would be without her. I don’t know how many of you I can or am going to reply to but know that I appreciate a lot of the advice. I will tell you that there are a lot of you I’m going to listen to. I will definitely try to push us exercising more together and research perimenopause more.
