Wikipedia talk:Non-free content
| There have been articles about and whose titles are based on primarily death-related events, only ones that low-profile victims have been notable for, e.g. "Murder / Killing / Death / Shooting / Suicide of [a deceased low-profile/BIO1E victim]" articles. Also, such victims have been subject to WP:BIO1E/WP:BDP1E, both redirects to WP:NBIO. (Even recently deceased ones have been subject to WP:BDP, a redirect to notorious WP:BLP policy.) Before their own deaths, victims were photographed when those individuals were alive. Such photos have been used in such death-related articles whose titles also use the victims' names, i.e. "X of Y" (X = death-related; Y = victim's name).
Have usages of non-free pre-event/pre-death photos in such death-related articles been generally acceptable or unacceptable, and are such uses still acceptable or unacceptable? --George Ho (talk) 19:07, 12 June 2026 (UTC) |

| Several passages in this article rely on highly graphic eyewitness descriptions presented in extensive narrative detail. Examples include descriptions such as people being shot “between the eyes”, bodies falling “like dominoes”, or children being killed in explicit terms.
This RfC is not disputing that the events, deaths, and suffering are historically documented. The concern is whether the current presentation gives disproportionate weight to emotionally graphic primary-source narratives, resulting in a tone that departs from standard encyclopedic style. Relevant policies and guidelines may include:
The question is whether the current level of graphic detail and narrative emphasis is appropriate for an encyclopedia article, or whether some passages should instead be summarized in a more neutral and concise manner consistent with Wikipedia’s usual historical writing style. Input from uninvolved editors would be appreciated regarding:

[edit]| The "External links" section of this article currently contains outdated and broken links (including legacy Flash-based demonstrations that no longer function in modern browsers). This reduces the quality and verifiability of the article for readers looking for practical implementations of steganography. I would like to propose a brief cleanup: 1. Removing the dead/broken links. 2. Adding a reference/link to a modern, fully client-side web tool (HTML5/JavaScript) that safely demonstrates image steganography directly in the browser without any server-side data processing. Since my previous anonymous query went unnoticed for two weeks, I am launching this RfC from this newly registered account to get a consensus on making the external links section functional again, and to verify if the community agrees on adding a privacy-focused, modern demonstration tool. Please share your thoughts on whether we should clean up these links and accept modern web-based alternatives. Elikadima (talk) 19:40, 17 June 2026 (UTC) |

| My RfC is because me and Kahndaqi can't seem to get a consensus on adding the character's real name and would like a third comment. Thus far, the argument boils down to this: I have added "Theo Ramses Djoser Teth-Adam" in the real name portion (see here) because in Black Adam (2022) #1, the character expresses his full name in the first few pages of the comic (here). It is clear, demonstratable, and easy to conclude in my opinion. Kahndaqi has reverted these edits, stating in edit summaries (here and here) and above that they believe that it is considered a "editorial mistake", "outdated", "non-canoical" and should be ommitted. I countered, beleving the information to be both considerable and relevant for the reasons above. I'd like for another party to chime in and give their thoughts onto this. | First of all, I want to thank Prince of Erebor and all the other editors for their contributions on this article. So about the film's country/countries, while I do think some of Prince of Erebor's concerns and reasonings are valid, but I also think they are very overly stringent on what to include in terms of countries of origin. If you look at other Wikipedia articles, especially many of those Hollywood productions that includes both United States and United Kingdom as country, none of these articles were met with the same type of scrutiny. Many films articles on Wikipedia includes multiple countries, such as many European productions and Asian productions.--Febetsh23 (talk) 09:35, 31 May 2026 (UTC) |

Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Politics/Political parties
| Should we keep the ideology section of political party infoboxes to only what are recognised as ideologies via being cited as such on their respective pages? For example, social democracy is a widely recognised and cited as an ideology, whereas animal welfare is not cited on its page as an ideology. Therefore, the former would be okay but not the latter. For clarity I'm not saying that a party that is for animal welfare, for example, could not be defined as a party that advocates this within the article of that respective political party. What I'm saying is that under this proposal only what are cited on their respective pages as ideologies could be listed in the ideology section of the infobox. Wikipedia style and naming
[edit]Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation
Part 1 - How should airports be listed in airport and airline destination lists? Note in all examples, the "Airport" suffix is dropped.
Part 2 - How should cases be handled where multiple airports serve the same primary location (as determined by part 1)? For example, when Western Sydney Airport opens, the city of Sydney will have two airports serving it. How should they be differentiated? Note - in all cases the "primary region" is determined by the outcome of part 1.
Context: this RfC has been started as there has been repeated disagreement on how the existing style guide for airports should be implemented when writing destination lists. This page is for bringing attention to usernames which may be in violation of Wikipedia's username policy. Before listing a username here, consider if it should be more appropriately reported elsewhere, or if it needs to be reported at all:
- Report blatantly inappropriate usernames, such as usernames that are obscene or inflammatory, to Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention.
- For other cases involving vandalism, personal attacks or other urgent issues, try Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents; blatant vandalism can also be reported at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism, which is sometimes a better option.
Do NOT post here if:
- the user in question has made no recent edits.
- you wish to have the block of a user reviewed. Instead, discuss the block with the blocking administrator (see also Wikipedia:Blocking policy § Unblocking).
Before adding a name here you MUST ensure that the user in question:
- has been warned about their username (with e.g. {{subst:uw-username}}) and has been allowed time to address the concern on their user talk page.
- has disagreed with the concern, refused to change their username and/or continued to edit without replying to the warning.
