Portals
[edit]@Archives908: Hello! I meant for the Middle East portal to be a proxy for an "Armenia" portal that does not exist. Portal:Armenia was deleted in 2019. I wanted to have some geographical portal that could best fit the place of "Armenia". It had to do with https://ciaotest.cc.columbia.edu/olj/meria/meria00_nog01.html (and as the Ottoman Empire was relevant to Western Armenia) WhisperToMe (talk) 03:23, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- Greetings! I understand, however, Armenia is not within the modern political borders of the Middle East (see this article for further details). Regards, Archives908 (talk) 03:30, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- Technically it would be in West Asia/Southwest Asia, but those portals don't exist. All we have is Portal:Asia WhisperToMe (talk) 03:33, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- I'm aware of that. Per longstanding WP:CON at Europe, the three countries of the Caucasus, Cyprus, Turkey, and Russia may be placed in both Europe and Asia related articles/lists. Feel free to add both Europe and Asia portals, or maintain the status quo and keep geography out of it (mind you, the ARF is an affiliate of the Party of European Socialists. I'm unaware of any modern connections to any political entities in Asia). Cheers, Archives908 (talk) 03:47, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- I decided to add both Asia and Europe portals as the party has its headquarters in the modern state of Armenia. (from this source: "Yerevan, Mher Mkrtchyan 12/1") WhisperToMe (talk) 03:53, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

Add the category Socialist International. And why is this page locked in the first place it is only about a small armenian party? Coconut0330 (talk) 16:15, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

In my opinion, the infobox for this political party is very bloated. It could be trimmed down a bit, such as removing the note about the specific territories that Armenian irredentists claim.

The infobox is wrong - it has no seats in the National Assembly of Armenia but it shows that it has 14 seats. Change the infobox so that it reads 0 for the National Assembly (Armenia) seat number. Rhinocratt 19:58, 17 June 2026 (UTC)

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want made. Day Creature (talk) 23:31, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
[1] Is this good enough? the ARF is not mentioned in the resultsRhinocratt20:54, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
cIt seems like our own article on the election results for the 2026 Armenian parliamentary election does not even have a source for its numbers...Rhinocratt20:55, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
c- Scratch that, I am sure that the number is wrong because the Armenia Alliance which this party is part of only won 12 seats so they conflict with the 14 figure but I am not sure how many AA members are ARF members...

Documentation
[edit]Hello, @Yerevantsi and @Archives908, I am writing to you because you are the two largest recent contributors to this article. Together with another historian and the Archives Anarchistes website, we are currently publishing a dossier of French intelligence reports that monitored the Dachnaks in Geneva.
The documents in question show heavy links between Western anarchists and leading Dachnak circles, the involvement of the Dachnaks in the Cretan revolt on the side of the insurgents (which I have already added to the article page), and other elements (such as when Armen Garo says that the photograph of the revolted of the Ottoman Bank takeover was fake and for racist/orientalist reasons since they would have been dressed as Westerners and not fedayee) might be of interest to you for your work on the organization's first ten years and its early framework.
I hope you find these documents interesting and useful, and I wish you all the best. (I have sent the same message to a fellow historian and fellow Armenian on the French version of this page.) Aristoxène (talk) 19:31, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- I tag @Czar also about this, since we had this discussion on the Operation Nejuik and/or Sophie Areshian pages, about if we wanted to include them as anarchist or not, ultimately chosing to not do it. I think reports such as this one (which shows the difference between Hentchak (marxist) and Dachnak (anarchist-autonomist at least for their strategy)) could be interesting on this matter. I must say that several of the Dachnak leaders are flagged by the French police as being anarchists. (The French police in 1895-1900, after the Ere des attentats, etc, knew very well what was an anarchist, what was a nihilist, etc, they are very interested in all those nuances so I think their assesment in such a later date, when they know what they are talking about, is interesting). Aristoxène (talk) 19:36, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- Also I repeat here what I told on the French talk page but we have like the pictures of let's say 30 or 40 of those militants and we could provide them to any of you who would want to create a page on them on Wikipedia without any issue. There are many women in this body of people and I can give you a list of people represented there. Aristoxène (talk) 19:40, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
