Rain barrel - how to dispense water faster
Rain barrel - how to dispense water faster

I have a rain barrel up on cinder blocks, which gives me more than enough water to keep my garden happy. My main issue with it is that it has a pre-installed hose coming off it, which takes about 3 minutes to fill up my 3-gallon watering can. Not the biggest deal, but when I water I end up sitting around waiting for the can to fill. Googling around the best idea I can come up with is to install another garden hose-sized spigot, and use two hoses to fill up the can. Has anyone else come up with a better solution? Does someone make a larger diameter spigot or something? I don't need to pump the water anywhere, just get it out of the barrel faster (also the barrel has a built in strainer lid so I cannot just dunk the watering can inside).

Thanks!
