Does the reference to the lion cub need to be hyperlinked to the Cowardly Lion article? The film itself does not make it obvious that the lion cub is intended to be the Cowardly Lion, and this information is not necessary to understanding Wicked’s plot (WP:SPOILER). Linking the lion cub directly to the Cowardly Lion article may therefore go beyond what is supported on screen (WP:OVERLINK).
Similarly, in the Cast section, the sentence, "Additionally, the Cowardly Lion makes an appearance as a cub." appears interpretive rather than reflecting the film’s cast list; this differs from movies with named animal performers (e.g., Moonie the dog as Bruiser Woods in Legally Blonde).
The article became GA on December 3rd 2025, and looking at the version of the article linked in the milestone cell shows that the production section has pretty much remained the same with only a few changes in wording, spelling, sources, and few extra sentences in Filming. Because the production section hasn't been enlarged greatly since becoming GA I would say no to a split as well. Funnykoalavinecompilation (talk) 00:09, 25 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
What is the main concern and the reason for the split question? The article is not too long. I didn't look at the history, but was the section added to after GA? Main concerns I have are: The article is GA. Removing parts that might have been there at the GA assessment might endanger the article to a reassessment. If that is a remote possibility, then No to a split. -- 01:04, 8 March 2026 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Otr500 (talk • contribs)
