Draft for Panasonic Camera
[edit]Hi Vacant0, I saw that you are in WP:Photography and have a lot of experience here on Wikipedia. I am new to the platform, and I was hoping you would be willing to help me with a draft for Panasonic at User:LRGino/Panasonic Lumix S1II draft. I think the draft covers all the relevant facts and is in line with the articles for similar cameras. However, because I have a conflict of interest, I understand that I should get additional input or that a neutral editor should move the draft to main space. I'd appreciate you reviewing and cleaning up where you see fit. Thanks for your time. PanaTony (talk) 09:35, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- The draft looks okay to me, though I'd focus on adding a reception section too. I bet that there are some camera reviews out there. Feel free to ping me once you do this and I'll move the article to mainspace. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 13:21, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks so much for the advice. I added a "Reception" section. If it looks good now, I really appreciate you moving it to mainspace. Best PanaTony (talk) 10:49, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

- Hi Vacant0. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and your time. I've worked on a number of other Panasonic cameras that don't have an article yet, incorporating all of the feedback that you've given to me into those articles. If you could take a look, I would be grateful. I look forward to feedback and to, hopefully, getting these into mainspace as well.

- This merge seems to be a bit more complicated so I'd rather not do it due to potential issues with parallel history. Ask someone more experienced. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 20:04, 13 June 2026 (UTC)

Copyright similarity
[edit]Today is the first time using the new copyright violations b0t, showing a 22.5% similarity. Is this acceptable? Bearian (talk) 16:19, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
- I'm looking through the specifics and see that Earwig's b0t picked up a lot of false positives from literal quotes with "quote marks." If I saw that in high school or first-year college student's paper, I'd accept it. What do you think? Bearian (talk) 19:05, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
- You'll either find three scenarios:
- Websites that copy content from Wikipedia articles (in most cases false positives)
- Content that is quoted in Wikipedia articles
- Literal copy pasted content from news articles (which should be avoided)
- Looking at this article, Earwig seems to have picked up quotes from the article. So, I'd ask the nominator to paraphrase those parts if possible to lower the amount of copyvios. There also might be close paraphrasing. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 19:13, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
