Request for review of forexinworld.com blacklist entry
Hello,
I would like to request a review of the domain forexinworld.com, which was added to the global spam blacklist in 2019.
The site has since been significantly revised. It now focuses on neutral, educational content related to Forex and MetaTrader platforms, without promotional intent, automated posting, or link spamming.
If the original listing was due to past misuse or conflict-of-interest edits, I acknowledge that issue and confirm that such practices are no longer being followed.
I would appreciate guidance on whether the domain could be reconsidered for removal from the blacklist, or what specific changes would be required to meet Wikimedia’s policies.
Thank you for your time and review. Shaguftahaju (talk) 12:47, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- Browsed it for a while. The website seems to be devoid of any substantive content that'd be used to cite anything, so it's likely that no one will be referencing or linking to the site, anyways.
- tldr: Terrible sources have no place in Wikipedia. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 13:19, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- "due to past misuse or conflict-of-interest edits, I acknowledge [this and won't do it again]"
- If so, please link to the account(s) you've used to edit Wikipedia previously. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 13:26, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking the time to review this. I understand the WP:EL and sourcing concerns, and I won’t request or add external links to my website again.
- For transparency: I previously edited Wikipedia in 2019 using the account forexinworld, which was blocked after I repeatedly tried to add my website link. At that time I didn’t fully understand the rules. I will follow Wikipedia guidelines going forward. Shaguftahaju (talk) 06:25, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- This appears to be globally blacklisted. Multiple spam accounts. You don’t need to have this link delisted to be able to contribute constructively. Dirk Beetstra T C 18:42, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- Just to note that the are AT LEAST 3 consecutive accounts blocked. You hence knew very well that your edits were not wanted when your 3rd account was blocked in 2019 (forexinworld was blocked for spam in 2018). --Dirk Beetstra T C 18:49, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- Understood. Thank you for the clarification.
- I acknowledge the past issues and I won’t attempt to add or request links to that domain again.
- I will avoid any conflict-of-interest editing and will focus only on constructive, policy-compliant contributions. Shaguftahaju (talk) 18:40, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- And you need links to said website to do so?
- If so, you may propose edits in respective talk pages of said articles, and others will contribute it for you, if they agree with the proposal. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 18:52, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- Understood, thank you. I acknowledge the domain is currently blacklisted due to past misuse. I won’t try to add it again or request it to be added to articles.
- If needed, I will propose neutral edits on the relevant talk pages using independent reliable sources. Shaguftahaju (talk) 16:03, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
