Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Wobbanight, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Tropical fish of the Eastern Pacific, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.
Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. The article Tropical fish of the Eastern Pacific has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Recent AfDs establish that user-generated scopes such as “Eastern Pacific” are not a basis for articles.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mccapra (talk) 07:17, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
List of Creatures of The eastern Pacific
[edit]It's now at List of fish of the eastern Pacific. Your title was undefined as to what creatures means. It could have included animals from folklore that cryptozoology claim live, it could include birds that fly over the ocean. Also there is no reason to capitalise Creatures or The. Speedy deletion nomination of List of Creatures of Connecticut Waters
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on List of Creatures of Connecticut Waters, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Louisiana Tower (Shreveport, Louisiana) when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

What is the tallest building in Asheville?
[edit]I found a source saying it was The Arras, and I happened to look at the article last week and saw the changes. I guess my source was wrong and I'm not sure what to do.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 17:05, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- At this point, I have checked Emporis and it states the courthouse is 11 feet shorter. I don't know what changed but there are other changes that would have to be made. I'm going to stand by Emporis and my other source until we figure this thing out.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 18:01, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- Both SkyscraperPage, The CVU, and SKYDB both state that the courthouse stands 230 ft (70 m) tall. Measuring from the lowest building entrance in Google Earth which is on Davidson Dr, proves all of those sources correct.[1][2][3] Wobbanight (talk) 23:23, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- I suppose we can go by that, but that changes a number of things.

- I don't recall the Asheville Citizen-Times ever making a correction, so we have to find a way to deal with this on The Arras. — Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:21, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- I'm on my way to verify what was said about The Arras. One of my sources failed verification so I don't know where I got it, but I have to find a new source. In the meantime, look at [2] and [3].— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:34, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- I found what I needed and changed the diffs to reflect that. I've seen this way of handling the situation when sources conflict. When the headline in a source says the building is the tallest, then that creates a problem.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:06, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

px sizes
[edit]Please don't remove px sizes from images like here. It forces browsers to download the full size images which may have been dozens of megabytes in total here, and some users see the full size images depending on circumstances. For example, this may (I'm not sure) show you the full sizes I saw. PrimeHunter (talk) 22:56, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- I had the same issue; the images displayed extremely large on my monitor (until fixed by the other editor). Most likely a mistake I'm guessing but just something to be aware of. Electricmemory (talk) In solidarity 23:54, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
