January 2026

[edit]

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Trinity Rodman article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 22:16, 23 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, new editor!

[edit]

Hello, there! I'm Aplucas0703, and I've been assigned as your mentor. All new accounts are randomly assigned a mentor from a list of volunteers. Please reach out to me when you have questions! I love helping new editors navigate this website. Remember, anyone can edit Wikipedia, but that doesn't mean that anything goes; we have policies in place to protect you, other editors, and the integrity of the encyclopedia. You aren't expected to know every rule and policy, or every tool, or everything about Wikipedia. You can just start editing where you feel comfortable. If you make a mistake, someone else will likely fix it and kindly let you know of your error and how to avoid it in the future. We're very happy to have you as a new editor who can help improve and expand this encyclopedia, because there is still a lot to do around here!

If you need my help at anytime, reach out through the dashboard on your user homepage or directly by starting a new conversation on my talk page.

Here are a few bullet points

[edit]
  • You can use your user homepage to find new edits you can make to improve Wikipedia.
  • Wikipedia encourages editors to be bold. This means you don't need to wait for permission to fix things or feel tied down by an edit you want to make being "too big". However, don't edit war if someone else reverts it; discuss it instead.
  • Assume good faith from other editors, even when you disagree with their decisions or perspectives.
  • You can use the talk page of any article to discuss the content and structure of the article. (Talk pages aren't a forum about the topic, it is to discuss what a Wikipedia page should include or how a page should be formatted, etc.)
  • You will gain new privileges as you gain more experience. Some of these are automatic, others can be requested and given by an administrator.
  • Visit the task center to find some things to work on, or visit the backlog to find some tasks that need to be done. If you want some help finding tasks, you can also ask me!
  • There are many gadgets and user scripts that can help automate edits that would otherwise be tedious to make. You can turn on certain gadgets in your user preferences, and find user scripts at this list of user scripts. The most essential and commonly used gadget is Twinkle, which can be turned on in your preferences. The "install scripts" gadget will make installing user scripts much easier.

Again, welcome to Wikipedia! Contact me when you have questions. AaronNealLucas (talk) 19:29, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Theodora (wife of Justinian I), did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. tgeorgescu (talk) 19:07, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Before you get into hot water: please read Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 244#Gospel of John. Read it slowly and carefully and you'll find out why is it of application. tgeorgescu (talk) 19:21, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Dante8 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dante8. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
