ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit source]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:51, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Manon Bannerman, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ABC News. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:55, 1 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

WARNING regarding introduction of unsourced and poorly sourced content

[edit source]

Techgamer534, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Recently, you have been repeatedly reinserting material at Wonhee with citations to unreliable self-published sources (here and here) like iMDB and Fandom (kpopwiki). You have been warned several times about this, so I want to give you fair warning: if you add unsourced or poorly sourced content again at Wonhee, or at any article at Wikipedia, I will start a discussion at the administrator's noticeboard about your editing and seek to have your editing privileges suspended in order to protect the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you disagree, or if you have any doubts about what constitutes reliable sourcing or what this means, please contact the Wikipedia:Teahouse or WP:Help desk. Thank you. Wonhee moved to draftspace

[edit source]

Thanks for your contributions to Wonhee. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because the subject currently does not meet the WP:GNG, WP:NBLP, WP:SINGER, and WP:BANDMEMBER criteria with no significant coverage for individual notability from secondary reliable sources that are independent of the subject apart from passing mentions from Illit-related reporting, including routine and/or trivial information that is derivative and/or contextually driven. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 06:52, 4 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Wonhee (singer) (January 4)

[edit source]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Paper9oll were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary again, as you did at Aespa, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 20:44, 13 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to Pentagon (South Korean band). This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.

You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 18:39, 16 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The reviewer, Paper9oll, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for music. The draft requires either:

or multiple published secondary sources that:

  • provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the subject, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.

Please add references that meet these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.

It is often easier to prove the notability of an album or artist than an individual song or band member. If the subject is not yet notable, consider improving a relevant existing article instead.

signatures

[edit source]

Hi, I notice you've added a bunch of signatures to infoboxes. The images have, on commons, got namuwiki as their source. How do you know these are the authentic signatures? And how can I verify that? WP:USERGEN cautions against user-generated contents like wikis as a source. Morwen (talk) 21:43, 7 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I apologize for the oversight. I am relatively new and didn't realize that Namuwiki content is considered user-generated. For now, I will stop adding them until I can verify each one through an official primary source. Please, if you can, review the authenticity of the signatures before consider to delete them. Warning

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Mckenna Grace. Seasider53 (talk) 17:34, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Adding a 'birth name' without even mentioning a source, is eye-raising at best, but I count here something like half a dozens warnings for adding unsourced info to BLPs. This is, for real, your last chance. Morwen (talk) 18:26, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

New message from Taking Out The Trash

[edit source]

 You are invited to join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Articles for creation § Draft:Ricky (Chinese singer). Specifically, you are invited to explain why you moved that page back to draftspace without an edit summary. I presume it has something to do with WP:BANREVERT given that the move to mainspace was made by a sock, but there has been a concern raised about WP:DRAFTNO as well. Question

[edit source]

Hello. I don't understand why you did this? Could you explain. James500 (talk) 10:53, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Because of this: WP:BLUDGEON Techgamer534 (talk) 11:11, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
In all fairness, this edit actually is an unambiguous violation of WP:TPO. I think you should revert that edit. There is no way that it was bludgeoning to point out that the unreliable sources had been replaced with reliable ones. The only thing that striking that particular comment will acheive is to seriously mislead the closing admin about the state of the sourcing in the article. James500 (talk) 11:16, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will revert that edit. But you must be aware that, no matter how much you try to argue to save the article, you will not be able to prevent it from being turned into a draft or deleted, since it is poorly written and referenced, and, as I said before, Kim Garam does not have enough individual relevance to have her own article. Feedback
The reviewer, Grapesurgeon, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for music. The draft requires either:

or multiple published secondary sources that:

  • provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;

Still not enough independent notability; also i just deleted a chunk of unreliable sources, please add reliable ones instead

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Renjun to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
  • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
  • If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.

Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.

Unreliable sources

[edit source]

Hello, I notice you cite primary sources a lot (namely YouTube videos) and often cite sources we consider unreliable (see WP:KO/RS; particularly WP:SOOMPI and WP:ALLKPOP). Please try to avoid doing all this. Primary sources can sometimes be cited, but only in moderation and sparingly when no other sources exist. grapesurgeon (talk) 01:47, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Not enough individual notability from group proven; also a large amount of unreliable sources. Please remove the use of those. WP:KO/RS. WP:SOOMPI, Koreaboo, WP:ALLKPOP in particular.
