Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Thomas Jones (missionary) when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Women in Green reviewing drive

[edit source]

Hello Astra Travasso:

This month, February 2026, WikiProject Women in Green is participating in the February 2026 GAN Backlog Drive, in which we're aiming to review as many outstanding Good Article (GA) nominations about women and women's works as possible. If you want to help out, you can check out the project talk page for a list of nominations in need of review (including some WiG originals). If you haven't reviewed a GA nomination before, be sure to check out the reviewing instructions and guidelines and feel free to ask for a mentor to check your work.

We are also working together with a wikithon hosted on 5 February by Wikimedia UK, which will focus on writing and improving articles about women involved in sustainable development. If you want to join the event, feel free to sign up at the eventbrite page; or if you would be interested in providing a 20-minute assessment and/or a full GA review of the submitted articles in the weeks following, put your name down on the project talk page for updates as the event progresses.

We hope to see you there!

Hi, @Astra Travasso, thank you very much for your attention. I have seen that, you have moved the article back to the draft space. I only moved the article to the main space. But I did't review it. It was reviewed by User:Kj cheetham. I have got the notification 3 days ago, that they reviewed the article. Please guide me, what to do next? Zirbenschnaps (talk) 20:45, 6 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. @Astra Travasso. Very sorry messaging you again. Could you please revisit the draft? And make suggestions? I have submitted it for review. Hope this works now. Zirbenschnaps (talk) 06:54, 7 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi both, to clarify, I reviewed it as part of New Page Patrol WP:NPP on the assumption it had already gone through AfC and they were a full professor. I had not realised that Zirbenschnaps bypassed the AfC process by moving it to mainspace themselves. Notability might warrant a bit more careful checking against WP:NPROF. Zirbenschnaps, please be aware it can sometimes take a number of weeks for an article to be reviewed at AfC as there is quite a large backlog and they are not reviewed in any particular order. -Kj cheetham (talk) 12:27, 7 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Zirbenschnaps please could I double check your connection to Gina Moseley - is it someone you know personally, or are you receiving any kind of payment for your edits to that article? -Kj cheetham (talk) 12:29, 7 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Kj cheetham, I am the person writing about myself. And I have published the matter on my userpage. I hope this is allowed?Zirbenschnaps (talk) 13:58, 7 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for clarifying. I did note your declared a COI on your userpage, I was primarily checking if it was paid editing or not. It's allowed, but discouraged; take a look at WP:AUTOBIO. My recommendation is that when/if it gets accepted by AfC and published to mainspace, try to only propose changes on the talk page using the template outlined at WP:COIEDIT, rather than editing the article itself directly. Hope this helps. -Kj cheetham (talk) 14:32, 7 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Nandita Haksar moved to draftspace

[edit source]

Thanks for your contributions to Nandita Haksar. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and wikipedia is not a resume. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 04:39, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Flyingphoenixchips. The moving into draft space of this article is not in line with Wikipedia:DRAFTNO. If you think the article needed more sources to establish notability, you could have done it yourself. I understand that wikipedia is not a resume, and the easy way to fix it would have been to keep her best sellers in the list of works, and deleted the rest. I do not understand the need to shift to draft for that reason. You could have also left behind a template tag on the article for "reads like a resume" (which exists). I do not seem the need to establish the notability of this author. Please consider checking the guidelines for the same. Sincerely, Astra Travasso (talk) 07:25, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Astra Travasso as I said below, apologies on this mishap. Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 07:26, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Naga People's Movement for Human Rights. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and there are copyright issues. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 04:41, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you @Flyingphoenixchips for your interest in this article, and dedication in expanding Wikipedia articles, especially from underrepresented areas. I sincerely appreciate it. However, I do not think you can move this page to draft space, as per WP:DRAFTNO. And now, I have created a mess which I cannot undo. As far as notability is concerned, how many sources do you think you need to establish notability given that the organisation is mentioned in newspapers, international reports, peer-reviewed articles, and academic book chapters. Can you further clarify this? As far as the copyright issues tag is concerned, I have tried to fix it but the link mentioned is a dead link. Therefore, I have refrained from removing it for the last few days. Is there a better solution to this problem.
Dear @MPGuy2824, could you fix the mistake that I did with moving this draft into a Wikipedia project instead of article as you did with at least one of the articles that was recently moved by the above user. Your help will be much appreciated.
Sincerely, Astra Travasso (talk) 07:21, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hey apologies @Astra Travasso, I was working with a few shell scripts on my terminal and it messed up tags as opposed to draftify. It has been moved back to mainspace. Apologies on my behalf Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 07:23, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Astra TravassoI am a northeastern myself and know that this organisation is clearly notable. Just would need to add more recent sources and fix the copyright issue. I will be looking into this to help out as well. Also why was the page moved from draft to wikipedia? Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 07:24, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The move was the mess on my side. As far as recent sources is concerned, I am afraid there won't be much. The organisation does organise annual events but as far as works for larger impacts are concerned, there are almost defunct. Astra Travasso (talk) 07:28, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I will try finding a few. I suspect there should be Ao naga sources out there. Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 07:29, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Moved back to mainspace. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 07:26, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

[edit source]
The Naga Star
Hey @Astra Travasso thanks for the amazing work you have put into Nagaland related articles. Based on your user page I assume you are not from India? Well I just want to say that it means a lot to us editors who have roots in Northeast India....ǃ and just a simple thanks is definitely not enough. Keep up the amazing work. Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 15:34, 6 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
This in indeed a great honour for my humble contributions towards populating Nagaland-related pages. One sentence at time! Thanks for the recognition @Flyingphoenixchips! I shall hold this dear to my work. Astra Travasso (talk) 05:01, 9 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - I'm an experienced editor. I came across this biography which you declined to create today, and I'm a bit baffled about how an inexperienced editor is supposed to respond to such a vague rejection. The draft includes several examples of significant coverage which easily pass WP:GNG in my opinion, and, per WP:AFCPURPOSE, it would credibly survive a deletion nomination. For example:

I admit I'm not experienced with AfC, having never used the process for my own pages. Could you explain why this page was rejected, and how a new editor could be expected to improve it without more specific guidance? pburka (talk) 22:33, 13 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Pburka. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to reflect deeper on my actions, and justify them in some ways. I agree that I should have been clearer in my reasoning to decline the submission rather than just mention the lack of notability. There was already a comment with pointed to unclear Wikipedia:GNG which I seemed to agree with. Nevertheless, I also agree that it would clearly survive a deletion nomination but after slight improvements post-nomination.
  • The BBC obituary is definitely the strongest citation, but I missed it being used in the lede to point that she was "the leader of the 'Noson Lawen' programme". I previously saw it only being used for early biographical details. That was clearly my shortcoming. If the obituary would have been in English, I would have improved it myself which I often do.
  • The very short article on being the first woman compere spends equal text on the previous compere (who also did not have a Wikipedia page in English or Welsh). Therefore, I did not consider it to warrant sigcov. I could not find a Wikipedia page for Gwyl Fawr Aberteifi on Welsh Wikipedia. Collectively, these led me to wonder the significance of it.
  • While the prize established in her honour might be significant, I could not find any other mention of the prize in the following years. So, I assumed many prizes are instituted but their significance is established in the continuity of the same.
I admire your dedication and experience in Wikipedia, and Women in Red in specific. Therefore, if you think that the page is ready to be accepted, please re-submit. I will gladly approve it. My apologies for all the stress I may have caused. Sincerely, Astra Travasso (talk) 09:10, 14 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I do think the page is ready, so I clicked the submit button. I appreciate the work that you do as a reviewer. I do feel that you're being unnecessarily strict in your interpretation of notability. In my opinion, new pages don't need to be perfect to be accepted; they just need to demonstrate that the subject is probably notable. The sources above might not be the strongest possible, but they do meet the requirement of significant coverage (i.e. not passing mentions). Remember that most users of AfC are relatively new to Wikipedia, and I'm sure the AfC review process must feel kafkaesque to many. We don't want to discourage editors who are legitimately following our written guidelines by applying stricter standards than what's documented. There's always time to improve articles after they're accepted. pburka (talk) 20:53, 14 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you on most of your statements. Therefore, I feel approving the page is the right thing to do. Sincerely, Astra Travasso (talk) 21:44, 14 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for all the work you have put into improving Northeast India related articles. I created this barnstar and wanted you to be the first one to be facilitated with it. Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 04:49, 26 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

What an honour this is just when I have slipped into making minor edits rather than significant ones! I am humbled by your gesture, but motivated to revisit some of the pages that had my attention some time back. Thanks. PS. It is indeed a beautiful barnstar that you have designed. I like the small details that make it complete. Astra Travasso (talk) 19:16, 26 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
