Matthew Levendusky
[edit]While the AfD isn't closed, I'd guess it should be soon. Levendunsky is quite clearly notable under our guidelines for academics (otherwise I wouldn't have accepted your AfC submission back in April) and him not being a "public personality" simply isn't an issue. This is a bit of an unusual situation, and I'm guessing your argument for deletion is more in line with this than what was put in the AfD nomination. Unfortunately when you submitted the article you irrevocably released your contribution to Wikipedia (see the Terms of Use) so being the original author doesn't give you the automatic right to have the article deleted. Equally, though it's written about him Levendunsky has no more say on the article than anybody else; arguably less because of our conflict of interest policy. We can't remove or alter content just because the person it's written about asks – it would completely compromise our neutral point of view, one of the five pillars Wikipedia is based on.
That said, perhaps there are other ways to resolve this issue. Is there a specific problem Levendunsky has with the article, i.e. factual errors, misrepresentations? He's free to raise any issues with the content on its talk page and then you or somebody else can look into it. joe•roet•c 17:57, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

[edit]This sounds like a reasonable resolution. Thanks for talking to me about it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.91.165.49 (talk) 18:39, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

The article Matthew Levendusky has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. -- Patchy1 REF THIS BLP 02:15, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
