Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to X-Men '97, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please do not start an edit war. You must provide reliable sources when you make changes. adamstom97 (talk) 08:24, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Adamstom.97 OK I will stop. But the source used is using blatant misinformation as three characters never appeared, multiple characters were mislabelled and some characters that actually did appear were left out. Emcgonigle (talk) 16:58, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
Minor edits
[edit]
Hi Emcgonigle! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Who that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. —ShelfSkewed Talk 17:16, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, I have been misusing minor edits then. Sorry, did not realise. Is there a way to amend my other ones? Emcgonigle (talk) 17:45, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- If only. I wish I could edit some of my past stupid edit summaries—but, no, there's no way to alter the tagging or text of an edit summary. So don't worry about it and happy editing! —ShelfSkewed Talk 18:23, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Aww. That's a shame but thanks for letting me know :) happy travels. Emcgonigle (talk) 12:39, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Murmur (Marvel Comics) into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s).
When copying within Wikipedia, at a minimum, give attribution in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination.
Please add attribution if no one has done so yet. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Using an edit summary that just says "merging" is insufficient. Please correct the attribution at List of Marvel Comics characters: M following the instructions above. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:04, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Emcgonigle, this is not how moving pages works on Wikipedia. A blank-and-redirect (to List of Marvel Comics characters: E) might be appropriate, but usurping the article without discussion through a copy-and-paste move is not. If you think the ice hockey player is the primary topic, please go through the WP:RM process.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Best, Wracking talk! 02:50, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

DYK for Brenda Meeks
[edit]On 5 June 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Brenda Meeks, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Regina Hall improvised parts of her role as Brenda Meeks in Scary Movie despite the director initially telling her not to "bother" the character and to follow the script? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Brenda Meeks. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Brenda Meeks), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.
