Question from SCLspacer (18:52, 31 March 2026)

[edit]

Hello- I have revised the page for CU Aerospace to include the types of things that were suggested were missing in the previous draft, I have studied what to do and not do, so hoping this version is robust enough to publish, could you review and help me make sure there aren't any problems with publishing it? I appreciate any help. thank you!

Firstly, most of the article can, and should, be converted to prose. Dege31 (talk) 15:40, 5 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Digitalstudies (08:02, 8 April 2026)

[edit]

Hi, I’ve completed the draft for the new Digital Capital article in my sandbox. It’s now fully documented with 10 references from high-impact academic journals.

Although my account was created over 96 hours ago and I have met the edit threshold, I still don't see the 'Move' button to publish it to the mainspace. I've tried a few troubleshooting steps, but I'm still stuck in the sandbox. Am I missing a specific step in the workflow, or is there a common delay with autoconfirmed status that I should be aware of?

Thanks for your help, M --Digitalstudies (talk) 08:02, 8 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

It was moved back, because it's machine-generated. Dege31 (talk) 14:38, 8 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the feedback. However, I must clarify that this text is not AI-generated. I am the scholar who developed this framework, having authored two books and dozens of peer-reviewed articles on Digital Capital. The content is a synthesis of my lifelong research. To ensure neutrality and meet Wikipedia’s standards, I have deliberately cited more independent sources (7) than my own works (3). I have used language tools (grammarly) to refine my English as a non-native speaker, which might have affected the perceived tone, but the intellectual structure and synthesis are entirely original. I will further simplify the prose to remove any perceived 'unencyclopedic' or 'essay-like' qualities. Digitalstudies (talk) 05:50, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
You should further modify the last paragraph, and I think it can then published. Dege31 (talk) 15:22, 15 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from SteveGelsi (18:00, 27 April 2026)

[edit]

Hello Mentor, I'm a journalist who's interested in making a recommended addition to Wikipedia.org's biographies. I wanted to do a short bio of Steve Bloom, the former editor of High Times and author who was a major contributor to the term 420 being used to describe cannabis. He is one of the main reasons why April 20 has become the cannabis holiday. --SteveGelsi (talk) 18:00, 27 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Note: Yvettendim's mentor AlphaBetaGamma is away.

Good morning, I’ve posted an article on Wikipedia, and it has been erased. I would like to know if I have not written any topics to wikipedia. I would like to know if I used another account, I am looking forward to hearing from you soon, Stay safe and healthy, Bye, Sandra --Yvettendim (talk) 10:18, 30 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know whether you used another account. I couldn't know this on my own even in principle, as I do not have the checkuser permission. Dege31 (talk) 16:14, 30 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from CastielAlethora! (16:29, 8 May 2026)

[edit]

Hey! I'm a newbie at wiki, you can call me Casti. When do you think lengthening or adding more content to a page is do-able, and what should I look out for to edit/add when reading? --CastielAlethora! (talk) 16:29, 8 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Whether it is doable, depends on your skill, and will.
You should look out for templates, needed sources, style/grammar, formatting, whether the sources support the text, and general applicability of the policies and guidelines. Dege31 (talk) 18:19, 8 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, great! Thanks for your guidance, Dege. CastielAlethora! (talk) 16:05, 9 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

How do I edit in a certain article? When I go to it, I don't see the edit option. Also, you're human, right? --Minimana2289 (talk) 14:01, 6 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

That is probably because you tried to edit an article which is under extended confirmed protection.
Yes, I am human. Dege31 (talk) 15:38, 6 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
ohhhh that makes sense actually. Sorry if my question was weird, we just live in an age of AI. Minimana2289 (talk) 16:06, 6 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi

I have a question. I want to edit the Wikipedia page on my village as it very much lacks a lot of information which I can add from several sources, but editing is something very foreign to me.

Things like: citation, link to sources, making sections, links as a word etc are very confusing.

May you help me? --Minimana2289 (talk) 19:04, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, ask me anything. I've also sent a short intro to your Talk page. Dege31 (talk) 19:07, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Ptorplo (23:19, 18 June 2026)

[edit]

Hello, thanks for being available as a mentor. I've made a few edits that are generally additions under the heading "In popular culture" which adds a reference to a wiki page about an individual that appears in a work of fiction. For example: on Bobby Thompson's page I added information that his game winning 1951 home run (the shot heard round the world) is a key element in Don DeLillo's 1997 novel Underworld. I cited the novel and included it as a reference. Is this accepted practice? In another case (on a different wiki page), another contributor removed my reference to a novel. Wondering why? --Ptorplo (talk) 23:19, 18 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

How do I create a page? --Jadeharris1920 (talk) 03:59, 24 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

At the moment, you can only create a draft, because you are not autoconfirmed. Dege31 (talk) 15:27, 24 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
