Thanks for writing me back. When the other user 1st mentioned vendetta I wrongly interpreted that it was between me and you, but it was more the type of articles you were after. Since almost 20 years ago when I 1st got involved with wikipedia it got so bloated and complicated, with tons of policies, rules and etc. I still do not agree with some of your propositions, I tried to revert some of your edits, but got reverted myself, so I've let it go. Peace! Vlad|-> 11:27, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

source reliability in Shalakho , the origin

[edit]

Hello, I wonder, do you question the sources just because they're Azerbaijani? Slowcuber7 (talk) 02:14, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, aren’t there any credible secondary sources? The article relies heavily on primary sources, and many of the ones you've used seem unreliable. Barseghian Lilia (talk) 12:32, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
nice you have answered. apris.
so, there are really not much regarding this topic. i have now a list of new stuff I am about to add. this dance is just not really documented. and what is rather outrageous is that how some incognito user deleted all Azerbaijani suggestions in the etymology section claiming it is wrong. okay, thank you Slowcuber7 (talk) 16:45, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. I'll also try to focus on finding more trustworthy sources. Since some of the sources are questionable, it’s likely there will be more attempts to remove information from the article through different IP addresses. Thanks! Barseghian Lilia (talk) 10:38, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
no, that was a deliberate deletion of only Azerbaijani points. anyways. Slowcuber7 (talk) 04:47, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow contributor

[edit]

Hello Barseghian Lilia. I've come across your contributions on a few occasions. Thank you for your efforts towards wikipedia articles concerning Armenian cuisine and culture. I am messaging you to ask if you monitor articles against vandalisms? It seems as though some Armenian related wikipedia articles have been coming under attack by groups or individuals by either removing any references to Armenian cultural links, or directly contributing false assertions to Armenian articles. Most recently the page for the pastry Gata (food) being one example. If you have a moment, please see the recent revision attempts on that article to better understand my concern. I hope to come across more users that are monitoring Armenian articles to protect them from vandalism.

Kindest Regards. Song623 (talk) 09:25, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Song623, I don't typically watch articles and I'm not that active on Wikipedia. But from what I understand, the user who made the edits is either under a topic ban or was in the past, and they broke it by editing the Gata article. You could probably report it to the admins and get that user blocked indefinitely. Barseghian Lilia (talk) 07:25, 18 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Khash (dish), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Armenian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Can you make the article for Armenian cuisine unblocked again?

[edit]

The article Armenian cuisine where, believe It or not, most infos have been edited there by me (It was blocked cuz someone send copyright images two or one year ago) is now not editable by anyone who doesnt have an account and for anyone who hasnt kept an account for 30 days with 500 edits, meaning, that no one is adding new stuff anymore. I want to be able to edit it again and add way more food that isnt included yet! 217.246.72.167 (talk) 12:46, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Barseghian Lilia btw, please check the version of Pekmez I send now and evaluate If Its better than the current article? Look at this version, It has way more and better sources and is backed by wiktionary: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pekmez&oldid=1290273584 93.200.97.136 (talk) 09:18, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I'm not sure that's a good idea, articles like this are usually protected because they get vandalized a lot. On the other hand, none of the extended confirmed editors are actually working on it. So, I'm not really sure what the right move is here. Barseghian Lilia (talk)

Suggestions for articles you should make

[edit]

I have been adding information regarding Armenian dishes since like 4 years (anonymously and I wont mentiln more on why can only edit at certain times), like Pestil, Pastirma, baklava (variations-part), stuffed apples, Ayva tatlısı (I’d propose renaming it to quince dessert, or candied quince instead, for more neutrality, like back then) and way, way more stuff, but I noticed some important topics that arent adressed yet, so here some suggestions (maybe Im forgetting some, but I can always return):

Opera in Armenia, Armenian fairytales, Armenian wedding customs, Armenian drinking culture, Cigarette Cookies (I was the one who added most of the Armenian cuisine article and also this, before It was protected and I couldnt improve it anymore) and more, but thats all I can remember rn….. 2A02:908:1421:9840:944C:F62B:D12E:37D8 (talk) 13:30, 10 July 2025 (UTC) and more, you create so many Armenian articles and I thank you for that![reply]

Ah, mulberry syrup also would be a great article! 2A00:20:10:ABD3:3D83:B7A0:6741:6446 (talk) 14:40, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And I‘d like to edit Armenian cuisine article since no ones editing it since Its been locked away, truly horrific! If Its impossible to unlock, do your best with it, I can always name you dishes you can include if you want.. 2A00:20:10:ABD3:3D83:B7A0:6741:6446 (talk) 14:41, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for your kind words! I saw your edits, you did an excellent job. It seems you're the only one who have contributed significantly to the articles on Armenian and regional cuisine on Wikipedia. Personally, I haven't been inclined to edit Wikipedia articles much, and I don't have a lot of time for it. Alghouth I do hope to eventually complete the articles in Template:Armenian cuisine.
You can also try to use this template or this one to request changes on the talk pages, if there is no alternative options for you for now. Barseghian Lilia (talk) 16:39, 12 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much! Im visiting Armenia rn and as I research I find more dishes day by day, I soon can make a huge list to send that then can be included in the „Armenian cuisine template“. Also, Im now soon going to have the 500 edits (this account is 2 months old, rn Its 50 edits, but Ive just started) and then I can edit „Armenian cuisine“ easily! I‘ll make that the best cuisine page in all of wikipedia trust! Grasshalm (talk) 00:19, 21 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Chechil when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. A question

[edit]

Ive seen your work on Armenian food articles, so I wanted to ask you If you would like to add all dishes youve made articles about and potentially also dishes you plan on making articles about into the Armenian cuisine article? It could serve as a comprehensive page that works like a guide for anyone who wants to know every Armenian dish known to man. ~2025-37143-36 (talk) 23:15, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing on Tzatziki article by previously caught AI user

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that a user you've argued with before is once again engaging in disruptive edits. I'm referring to User:Erdemozcantr, who you reported on the Administrators' board, where he even got caught using AI LLM content and fake sources (in Dolma talk page as well). In that same incident board you made note of him engaging in similar editorial behavior in the Tzatziki article. I just had a discussion with him on my talk page that led to nowhere, and the Tzatziki article got protected (extended-confirmed users only) due to the back and forth disruptive edits. I raised the issue in the Tzatziki talk page, but considering how previous topics went completely ignored, I'm writing to you to get some engagement, especially since you've dealt with this user previously. Chilloutpeeps (talk) 23:48, 17 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

All the edits you've made need to be reviewed; your attacks on me don't change the fact. The edits you wanted to make to the Tzatziki article are identical to those made by a sockpuppet, and because you want to revert them, the article has been protected. Erdemozcantr (talk) 09:24, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
An attack is an unfounded accusation. Nothing I’ve said was unfounded, you were literally temporarily blocked previously for using AI generated content and disruptive behavior. Chilloutpeeps (talk) 05:35, 19 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You may contact the moderators for mediation. From my perspective, this appears to be a violation of the WP:3RR rule, as well as an instance of edit warring and POV pushing. Barseghian Lilia (talk) 14:03, 19 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Behavior aside, is it possible for you to look at the content I proposed adding in the talk page and get your thoughts? The lack of Greece in the history section despite Greece also having an ancient history in yogurt (through oxygala) is apparent. Chilloutpeeps (talk) 16:32, 19 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure I'm very familiar with this topic. If there's no academic consensus on the dish's origin in reliable secondary sources, the mention of the Ottoman Empire should be removed from the infobox, though it could still be included in the body of the article. If your sources mention oxygala in the context of tzatziki, it can be used in the article, otherwise, it might be considered original research. Overall, I didn't notice any contradictory edits on your part. Barseghian Lilia (talk) 18:29, 19 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to List of film festivals in Armenia. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it has no sources. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. John B123 (talk) 09:54, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dolma + sanctioned user

[edit]

Hello.

I’ve reverted some edits of a sanctioned user (Nxyaros). You’ve been involved with multiple disputes with this user; I’m writing this to let you know that they’ve been recently topic banned from Armenia related topics, and I guess this pissed him off enough that he globally locked his account [1]. I reverted some of their edits they made to the Dolma article. But I wasn’t able to revert much since it’s cluttered with other editors and I’m not interested to spend much time on it reverting manually. Since you’re a frequent editor of the article, if you ever have the time, feel free to make your edits. He also made edits over at the Tzatziki, Borek, and Baklava articles as well, so it’s up to you if you’re interested. I was involved with an ANI dispute with him myself for incivility and POV issues, so I’m glad they finally got him up and out of here. Frankly I’m surprised it took so long considering the frequency of ANI reports they were involved in. EnglishCSMajor (talk) 03:13, 16 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
