User:Ned Scott
I live in Arizona, USA. My main focus on Wikipedia is working on articles about entertainment and fiction (particularly anime and science fiction, which is probably not a big surprise), though I do enjoy working on much more than just those kinds of articles. Lately I've been more active in meta space than in article space, focusing on discussions and technical features such as templates. I'm also very interested in applying some of the methodology of Wikipedia to other wikis around the internet, which lead me to start up WikiProject Transwiki.
Unfortunately my personal time is being consumed by some other stuff lately, and I'm not nearly as active as I once was. Don't let that stop you from leaving me a message or asking for assistance if you feel I can be of some help! I will always be a Wikipedian, and look forward to always having at least some level of contribution to this great project. I also plan on getting more active again to at least finish a number of projects/ideas that I've either had or was involved in.

| Should the second sentence of the lede paragraph read:
A. It was released through Nice Life and Atlantic Records on June 5, 2026. or B. It was released through Nice Life Recording Company and Atlantic Records on June 5, 2026. Please enter A to shorten the name of the recording company or B to use the full name of the recording company, or an equivalent, with a brief statement. Under the table's current definitions of internal and external floor area, how should the disputed area figures for St Peter's Basilica and the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida be treated? This RfC ended and was restarted to seek additional comments. --Podz00 (talk) 19:45, 15 June 2026 (UTC) |

Should the infobox at Doctor Who continue to use open-ended date ranges for the modern series (e.g. "2005–present"), or conclude the current date ranges (e.g. "2005–2025") following recent news around the show's future and upcoming invitation to tender process?

| My RfC is because me and Kahndaqi can't seem to get a consensus on adding the character's real name and would like a third comment. Thus far, the argument boils down to this: I have added "Theo Ramses Djoser Teth-Adam" in the real name portion (see here) because in Black Adam (2022) #1, the character expresses his full name in the first few pages of the comic (here). It is clear, demonstratable, and easy to conclude in my opinion. Kahndaqi has reverted these edits, stating in edit summaries (here and here) and above that they believe that it is considered a "editorial mistake", "outdated", "non-canoical" and should be ommitted. I countered, beleving the information to be both considerable and relevant for the reasons above. I'd like for another party to chime in and give their thoughts onto this. There are two questions:

| First of all, I want to thank Prince of Erebor and all the other editors for their contributions on this article. So about the film's country/countries, while I do think some of Prince of Erebor's concerns and reasonings are valid, but I also think they are very overly stringent on what to include in terms of countries of origin. If you look at other Wikipedia articles, especially many of those Hollywood productions that includes both United States and United Kingdom as country, none of these articles were met with the same type of scrutiny. Many films articles on Wikipedia includes multiple countries, such as many European productions and Asian productions.--Febetsh23 (talk) 09:35, 31 May 2026 (UTC) |

Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation
Part 1 - How should airports be listed in airport and airline destination lists? Note in all examples, the "Airport" suffix is dropped.
Part 2 - How should cases be handled where multiple airports serve the same primary location (as determined by part 1)? For example, when Western Sydney Airport opens, the city of Sydney will have two airports serving it. How should they be differentiated? Note - in all cases the "primary region" is determined by the outcome of part 1.
Context: this RfC has been started as there has been repeated disagreement on how the existing style guide for airports should be implemented when writing destination lists. I've posted here rather than at the Airports WikiProject as this also affects airline destination lists. Danners430 tweaks made 10:51, 17 June 2026 (UTC) |

MediaWiki talk:Createacct-username-help
| Howdy hello folks. After yet another incident where someone's username had to be oversighted and their account abandoned because they signed up with their real name, we need to revisit the wording of this string.
I propose that we add the following sentence after the existing text: Credit to Asilvering for helping workshop the language. I would ask that folks not propose alternatives so that it is easy to assess consensus. Many variations have been workshopped in the past, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, so lets keep the comments here to support/oppose. 19:28, 24 June 2026 (UTC) |
Wikipedia talk:Non-free content
| There have been articles about and whose titles are based on primarily death-related events, only ones that low-profile victims have been notable for, e.g. "Murder / Killing / Death / Shooting / Suicide of [a deceased low-profile/BIO1E victim]" articles. Also, such victims have been subject to WP:BIO1E/WP:BDP1E, both redirects to WP:NBIO. (Even recently deceased ones have been subject to WP:BDP, a redirect to notorious WP:BLP policy.) Before their own deaths, victims were photographed when those individuals were alive. Such photos have been used in such death-related articles whose titles also use the victims' names, i.e. "X of Y" (X = death-related; Y = victim's name).
Have usages of non-free pre-event/pre-death photos in such death-related articles been generally acceptable or unacceptable, and are such uses still acceptable or unacceptable? --George Ho (talk) 19:07, 12 June 2026 (UTC) |
