- Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state)
- Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.)
- Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing.
- Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
- Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."
Expand : Professional sports (crucial article explaining the salaried undertaking of sports)

Photo : for pages listed in Category:Wikipedia requested images of sports and games and sub-categories.
Stubs : work on articles in Category:Sports stubs
Update : List of world sports championships
Other :
- Add reliable sources. Experienced editors have free access to books on sports from McFarland.
- Translate the page of sport in each country from corresponding article in other language Wikipedia to English Wikipedia which was marked in red.
- Categorize: Gather all (major/olympic) sports to be part of this project
- RfCs: answer requests for comment

Article requests : Redlinks on nations at World Games and Universiade.
Assess : Rate each tagged article by quality and importance to the WikiProject if it has not been done. (Overview at Category:Unassessed Multi-sport events articles)
Cleanup : clean-up listing for Multi-sport_events
Expand : 2009 Beach South American Games. All article related to preview Asian Games, such as 1962 Asian Games, 1958 Asian Games, etc. - Also Papua New Guinea at the 2015 Pacific Games and Fiji at the 2015 Pacific Games: athletes for most sports still to be added. -- Other articles that need expansion are the nations and events of the 2019 African Games. Help appreciated.
Other : Articles on multi-sport events, less the Olympic and Paralympic Games, need to be tagged on their talk pages with {{WikiProject Multi-sport events}}.

Sport in XXX

Since cities like London have hosted all kinds of things, maybe it would be better to put this on Sport in London, Sports in Vancouver, etc. No? Kevlar67 09:08, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you mean, but the template is intended to be in the city's main page. Now some city's pages have regulated that all templates should be posted on another page, now if that's the case, I understand, if not, the template should remain on the city's page, because the Commonwealth games is a major international event, second only to the Summer Olympic Games. While I'm a big fan of the CG, I think we'd have a hard time proving they are bigger than the IAAF World Championships in Athletics, the Winter Olympics, or the Asian Games. And it really depends on the definition, bigger in term of number of athletes, numbers of spectators, numbers of TV viewers, number of countries? But, if there is consensus to keep the template on the main city pages for now, that's fine with me. Kevlar67 00:34, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
