Support ALT1, however, sorry have to spoil the fun, but I moved the page: in vast majority of cases we do not translate the "-shima/-jima" part of the names: see e.g, Category:Uninhabited islands of Japan. --Altenmann >talk 06:16, 3 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Main hook: the article is new enough, fully cited, does not have copyvio issues, and large enough. The main hook is interesting and properly structured, although I prefer it to state, "is in Japan" instead of "on". Regardless, I am willing to pass the nomination. Congratulations!
