Nominating featured lists in Wikipedia

This star, with one point broken, symbolizes the featured candidates on Wikipedia.

Welcome to featured list candidates! Here, we determine which lists are of a good enough quality to be featured lists (FLs). Featured lists exemplify Wikipedia's very best work and must satisfy the featured list criteria.

Before nominating a list, nominators may wish to receive feedback by listing it at peer review. This process is not a substitute for peer review. Nominators must be sufficiently familiar with the subject matter and sources to deal with objections during the featured list candidate (FLC) process. Those who are not significant contributors to the list should consult regular editors of the list before nomination. Nominators are expected to respond positively to constructive criticism and to make an effort to address objections promptly.

A list should not be listed at featured list candidates and another review process at the same time. Nominators who have previously successfully nominated a list may have two concurrent featured list nominations only if the first active nomination has gained substantial support and reviewers' concerns have been substantially addressed.

The featured list director, Giants2008, or his delegates, PresN and Hey man im josh, determine the timing of the process for each nomination. Each nomination will typically last at least twenty days, but may last longer if changes are ongoing or insufficient discussion or analysis has occurred. For a nomination to be promoted to FL status, consensus must be reached that it meets the criteria. The directors determine whether there is consensus. A nomination will be removed from the list and archived if, in the judgment of the director who considers a nomination and its reviews:

• actionable objections have not been resolved in a timely manner; or
• consensus for promotion has not been reached after significant time; or
• reviewers are unable to judge whether the criteria have been met.

It is assumed that all nominations have good qualities; this is why the process focuses on finding and resolving problems in relation to the criteria, rather than asserting the positives. Declarations of support are not as important as finding and resolving issues, and the process is not simply vote-counting.

Once the director or a delegate has decided to close a nomination, they will do so on the nominations page. A bot will update the list talk page after the list is promoted or the nomination archived, typically within the day, and the FLC template should remain on the talk page until the bot updates or adds the Article history template. If a nomination is archived, the nominator should take adequate time to resolve issues before re-nominating.

Round four for FL nominations! I decided to pick this list this time around because it's FIFA World Cup time, and what isn't a better way to celebrate then nominating one of Canada's best goalscorers. Cyle Larin debuted in 2014 and made his climb, passing Dwayne De Rosario to hold the all-time goalscorer record for Canada for two years before being surpassed by Jonathan David in 2024. Hope you enjoy! kline / talk / contribs 20:34, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• "A full international for Canada, Larin" - you literally just said that in the previous sentence, there's no need to say it again
• "Larin scored his first and only international hat-trick for Canada " - last two words are redundant - who else would he have scored it for?
• "World Cup Qualification campaign overall" - no need for a capital Q on qualification
• "a remarkable run" - this is POV
• As the table is sortable, stadium names and competitions need to be linked each time (as countries already are)
• That's all I got :-) -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:21, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hey y'all, mammal list #78 in our perpetual series and rodent list #23: Murinae. This is our final species list of the last family in this series, the giant family of Muridae. The subfamily Murinae, is, unfortunately, itself giant, there being over 600 species of Old World mice and rats, and it's not even really dividable into smaller sublists, as they're scattered throughout 136 genera. There's just an absurd number of mice and rats in the world, but I was determined to keep the pattern of the prior 77 lists, and in the end I've managed to find ways to keep it well under the page size limits, including as with our other large mammal lists having the IUCN cites be to the genus pages rather than the species ones so that we don't have 600+ of them. As always, the list reflects the scientific consensus as well as the results of prior FLCs. Thanks for reviewing! --PresN 20:32, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I am very proud of having finished this article, because it required me to physically go to the National Library of the Czech Republic while I was in Prague this past spring for the World Figure Skating Championships (at the same time I finished Slovak Figure Skating Championships). The copyright on several articles from the 1920s was such that they could only be accessed from a terminal at the library, and could not be printed or photographed. I had to show the library docent that I was using my phone to translate the text from Czech to English, and not taking pictures! Anyway, I have verified all of the results, the tables should be formatted properly, and the sources should also be formatted properly. Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions, and I look forward to your constructive feedback. Bgsu98 (Talk) 20:26, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is my third proposal for a feature list nomination. With two of the other lists already promoted to feature lists (Kim Seon-ho filmography and List of awards and nominations received by Kim Seon-ho, here's the latest in this series focusing on his live performances. I have tried my best to incorporate suggestions from my past experience in prior featurelist nominations into this page. My Chemical Romance is one of those bands you could listen to over and over and never get bored. I can't say I haven't listened to I Brought You My Bullets thousands of times and still find new stuff to like about it. I've been working on this for almost two weeks now and I believe it is finally ready for FL status, not much more to really say. Japan's Thoroughbred scene is quite rare in that it has five national Triple Crown titles up for grabs, rather than the usual one or two. While individually there isn't reams of paragraphs to say on each of them, they're still very important in the horse racing world, and still remain very elusive; while there's been many close calls, there's only 17 horses that have achieved any of them (Could have been 18 if the rain had held off in the Takarazuka Kinen today!) I think the article is in pretty good shape now, and gives a very comprehensive overview of the Crowns and their winners.

While I have a FA under my belt, this is my first FL submission (and I believe this is the first thoroughbred related FL submission in general?), so I look forward to your comments. :) As one note for the later 'list of individual X Crown winners' part, I'm happy if that should be moved to its own page if desired by reviewers, seemed to be 50/50 on including based on similar articles. As you can imagine, many of these horses have entries on the Japanese wiki, so ILL links could be added if desired - I'd erred on doing that as I figured a sea of red might be offputting. Another cue sports list from me. The Women's Billiards Association seems to have attempted to wipe the first edition of this championship from history. A few decades later, the event was starting to come out of the obscurity it experienced during the 1960s and 1970s when it was killed off by factionalism. Relevant extracts from source are available to reviewers on request. Thanks in advance for improvement suggestions. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 01:18, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• The norm is to have the lead image right at the top, so I would do that here too
• "when due to confusion about the date of her first match, she did not attend" => "when, due to confusion about the date of her first match, she did not attend"
• "who compiled maker of the highest break" - wording seems a bit mangled here
• "West's management of the wBSA" - lower case w?
• "and according to an article in Snooker Scene magazine, was "supported ... by virtually all serious women players." => "and, according to an article in Snooker Scene magazine, was "supported ... by virtually all serious women players."
• "The most wins in consecutive years by a player was four, by Selby from 1972 to 1974" - that's only three years.....?
• You say that the 1932 event was open, yet the title is Women's Amateur Snooker Championship, so presumably at some point professionals must have been barred from it....?
• I relied too much on a particular source for this. Reports of the final in the press make it clear that by the time it happened it was indeed the women's amateur championship. I've swapped a source. BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 23:16, 17 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
• Did the competition come to an end because of all that splinter group stuff in the fifth para? Your nomination statement above seems to imply that but the article doesn't explicitly state that.....

Although I had this article completed for some time, it was largely sourced to the Dutch skating union's own publication, so I undertook a search through Dutch newspaper archives for independent sources. There was no lack of newspaper coverage for Dutch figure skating, and the media is downright brutal. Let's just say that figure skating has never been huge in the Netherlands compared to speed skating or hockey, but the Dutch media never missed an opportunity to kick figure skating when it was down, which appeared to be almost all the time. Anyway, all of the results have been personally verified, the tables should be properly formatted, as should the citations. Pinging User:Drmies for no other reason than he's Dutch and has helped me out in the past. Figure skating in the Netherlands has historically never held the same popularity as ice hockey and speed skating.

Likewise, competitions in ice dance did not achieve championship status until 1956.

In 1959, plans were made to build an artificial ice rink in Amsterdam, but they were scrapped when the funds could not be raised. Only after a Dutch skater won the World Speed Skating Championships in 1961 were the necessary funds allocated. "Without an artificial ice rink in the Netherlands, it is impossible to ... sustain international competitive skating," Mr. H.W. Vliegen, chairperson of the KNSB, said at the time.

Figure skaters had limited access to ice compared to hockey players, speed skaters, and recreational skaters.

Many of the Netherlands' most successful skaters were the children of Dutch emigrants who had moved to Canada or the United States. They lived and trained in North America, but returned to the Netherlands once a year to compete at the national championships.

In some cases, this led to feelings of resentment among those who lived and trained in the Netherlands with fewer available resources and less access to ice.

Media outlets often emphasized that these competitors lacked the ability to communicate in Dutch.

Accessibility review (MOS:DTAB)

[edit]
• Tables need captions, which allow screen reader software to jump straight to named tables without having to read out all of the text before it each time. Visual captions can be added by putting |+ caption_text as the first line of the table code; if that caption would duplicate a nearby section header, you can make it screen-reader-only by putting |+ caption_text instead.
• Tables need column scopes for all column header cells, which in combination with row scopes lets screen reader software accurately determine and read out the headers for each cell of a data table. Three of the column headers in each table are missing scopes.
• Please see MOS:DTAB for example table code if this isn't clear. I don't return to these reviews until the nomination is ready to close, so ping me if you have any questions. This is not a full review, and does not result in a support vote. --PresN 19:44, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• "During the year, 17 different singles spent time at number one ... In the year's first issue of Billboard" - That's two "the year"s in succession so maybe the new paragraph could open with writing out 1969
• Is there usually a release year included in parenthesis after a musical's name (Hair)? That could be something you consider adding
• "The group's first number one was replaced in the peak position by "Get Back" by The Beatles with Billy Preston" - I think "and" might suit this construction more than "with"
• "Despite this success" - While objectively the song is successful, "success" can be omitted from this sentence without much detriment to readers' understanding, for added neutrality in wikivoice
• Single inverted commas for song titles in the titles of refs 9 and 13
• Great work, as usual!--NØ 16:28, 8 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• 4. It is navigable.
• 5. It meets style requirements. I only see the one image-license problem.
• 6. It is stable. - Dank (push to talk) 20:19, 8 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The Billboard Hot 100 is a chart published since August 1958 by Billboard magazine which ranks the best-performing singles in the United States.

In 1969, it was compiled based on a combination of sales and airplay data sourced from surveys of retail outlets and playlists submitted by radio stations respectively.

In 1969's first issue of Billboard, "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye was at number one, retaining its position from the final chart of 1968.

In February, Sly & the Family Stone topped the chart for the first time with "Everyday People";

the 5th Dimension achieved the same feat in April with "Medley: Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In (The Flesh Failures)", from the soundtrack of the stage musical Hair (1967).

The medley topped the Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks, one of two singles during the year to spend six weeks at number one. The 5th Dimension returned to the top spot in November with "Wedding Bell Blues" and was one of only two acts to take more than one single to number one during the year; their total of nine weeks in the top spot was the most achieved by any act in 1969. The group's first number one was replaced in the peak position by "Get Back" by the Beatles with Billy Preston. Other than two re-issued singles on which the Beatles had acted as the backing band for the singer Tony Sheridan prior to their rise to fame, "Get Back" is the only Hot 100 entry on which another musician received joint credit with the band.

It was the 17th number one for the Beatles but the first appearance on the Hot 100 for Preston, who went on to achieve two solo chart-toppers.
6 Whitburn 2005, pp. 46, 562.
Five more acts gained their first Hot 100 number ones between June and December. The arranger and orchestra leader Henry Mancini, who had regularly charted during the 1960s with film and television themes, reached number one for the first time with "Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet", taken from the 1968 film adaptation of the Shakespeare play directed by Franco Zeffirelli.
7 Whitburn 2005, pp. 436–437.
Zager and Evans spent six weeks at number one in July and August with "In the Year 2525 (Exordium and Terminus)", tying for the year's longest-running chart-topper. Despite this, it was the only single which the duo ever placed on the Hot 100, leaving them viewed as a one-hit wonder.

the male and female vocals on the record were provided by the session singers Ron Dante and Toni Wine respectively.

11 Whitburn 2005, pp. 544, 675.
The year's final number one was "Someday We'll Be Together" by Diana Ross & the Supremes. Although officially the final Supremes single to feature Diana Ross as lead vocalist before she departed for a solo career, it was itself effectively a Ross solo single, as the other members of the Supremes, Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong, did not perform on it, being replaced by session singers.

• Archive all sources; just copy the source's link and paste it in here. Then you'll see the archived link(s) of it, choose anything and then copy and paste it to |archive-url=. Add archived dates on |archive-date= and don't forget to add |url-status=live
• Use cite magazine because Billboard is a magazine
• "The Beatles returned to number one in November with the double A-sided single "Come Together" / "Something" and were the second act with more than one number one during 1969." -- Is this supported by the Ref 7 or?
• Reduce some commas on "it was itself effectively a Ross solo single, as the other members of the Supremes, Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong, did not perform on it, being replaced by session singers." -> "it was effectively a Ross solo single, as Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong did not perform on it and were replaced by session singers."
• I ditched some commas but worded it slightly differently so as to make it 100% clear to the average reader that the two ladies in question were the (sole) other members of the Supremes -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 13:50, 19 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• A black-and-white photograph of the musical group the Supremes performing on stage with a backing band
• A black-and-white close-up portrait of a smiling Billy Preston with a prominent afro hairstyle and beard
• A black-and-white promotional headshot of Henry Mancini wearing a classic tuxedo and bow tie
• A black-and-white photograph of the three members of the Supremes sitting together indoors
• A black-and-white promotional photograph of Elvis Presley posing in a striped shirt and dark jacket in front of a jail cell backdrop

List #4 of the Ukrainian monuments of national significance series. Chernivtsi Oblast is the smallest oblast by area and population, and is on the whole quite rural, which is reflected by the many inscribed vernacular-style churches (PS: perhaps too many; I'm not convinced that they are all nationally important). The obvious highlights are the Residence of Metropolitans (the first World Heritage Site of the series) and the Khotyn Fortress. Same structure as the previous lists, and this time I've prepared a Q&A that covers some old questions as well as other possible issues. Thank you in advance for reviewing.
Column scopes can be added by adding !scope=col to each header cell, e.g. ! Title becomes !scope=col | Title.
• Tables need row scopes on the "primary" column for each row, which in combination with column scopes lets screen reader software accurately determine and read out the headers for each cell of a data table. Row scopes can be added by adding !scope=row to each primary cell, e.g. | 1 becomes !scope=row | 1 (on its own line).
• Please see MOS:DTAB for example table code if this isn't clear.
• The image in the infobox should have alt-text.
• The refs column should be unsortable.
• The authors column needs to be sortable based on the last name.

• You referred to them as publications in a few places. Any problem with calling them books?

The wealth and importance of the University of Oxford, the oldest in the English-speaking world, has given the city a rich built heritage. This includes 199 buildings designated Grade I, the highest grading awarded by Historic England. Structures include works by some of the most prominent architects from the 17th to the 20th centuries; including Sir Christopher Wren, Nicholas Hawksmoor, James Gibbs, William Burges, William Butterfield, Edwin Lutyens and Arne Jacobsen. This list details those buildings; with matched entries, either articles or sections of articles, and notes for every listing, and a complete set of images with alt text. I want to express my thanks to User:TSventon, who gave valuable advice and encouragement, and User:Jonathan A Jones, who performed miracles to obtain the full set of images. Comments and suggestions for improvement would be equally gratefully received. KJP1 (talk) 12:52, 5 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I love architecture. I'm calling dibs on an image review, though it may take me a couple days given the sheer number of images. (Disclaimer: this review, when complete, will be used in the 2026 WikiCup.) Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 20:44, 5 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, sorry about the length of the list, it is a bit daunting! It's partly to do with the city's rich architectural heritage; but it is also partly to do with the how the Ministry of Works, Historic England's predecessor, decided to go about listing at the time. Largely, they assigned listed building status separately to each range of a college quadrangle so that, for example, the two quads of Jesus College have a total of nine listings. They didn't follow this approach at Cambridge so, for example, all of the buildings surrounding the Fore and Principal Courts at Clare College have a single listing. The differing approaches partly account for why Oxford has nearly three times as many Grade I listings as Cambridge. KJP1 (talk) 07:08, 7 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Just dropping a quick note that I haven't forgotten about this! There are some things I've needed to take care of IRL and I've been mostly looking at the images in small chunks. I'm down to Pembroke College now, and so far I've found no issues. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 13:01, 18 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. It is a long list. Pleased no issues have arisen so far. KJP1 (talk) 15:53, 18 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
So I did find one minor issue as I worked my way further down the list (File:At Oxford 2024 011.jpg lacks a description), but everything looks good otherwise:
KJP1, thank you for your work on this article and for your patience. Once the minor quibble is addressed, I look forward to supporting. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 13:31, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Dylan620 - Thanks are due to you, for taking on an image review of a list with 200 images. No small task. The issue you noted with (File:At Oxford 2024 011.jpg) actually uncovered two issues.
• St John's College has two quads, Front and North which both have western frontages onto St Giles;
• Our Commons Category, St John's College, West Range, Oxford doesn't make this distinction;
• The ranges (West Range Front Quad NHLE 1046647) and (West Block North Quad NHLE 1183676) look quite similar, both being three-storey ranges with central castellated gate-houses. However, the gate-house details differ, and the West Range of Front Quad is fronted by a low retaining wall;
• Both are also listed, but the North Quad west block is only Grade II;
• Regrettably, I used an image for the North Quad, rather than the Front Quad;
• To compound the confusion, I note that the Historic England listing page has made the same mistake, [1]. I shall drop them an email;
• I've now replaced the image with the right one. I've also added a description to the original file used, for completeness. Do let me know if anything needs clarifying. My sincere apologies for this. My thanks also to User: Jonathan A Jones for pointing it out.
My thanks again for the extensive review. Best regards. KJP1 (talk) 15:34, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
My pleasure, KJP1; the fixes look good to me, and I am pleased to support. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 20:38, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, I haven't forgotten. I'll get to it in a few days... Shwabb1taco 22:35, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
• In "The High - "one of the world's great streets" - ", aren't the hyphens supposed to be dashes?
• Per MOS:DASHVAR, the space preceding an en dash has to be non-breaking (e.g., "Grade I – buildings" → "Grade I – buildings"; see code)
• For "buildings of exceptional interest, only 2.5%" and "buildings of particular importance with more than special interest, 5.8% of listed buildings", I would replace the comma with a semicolon in each.
• "The entire north and west of the county of Oxfordshire sits within the Jurassic belt and the county was famous for its building stone. In the medieval period stone quarrying was second only to the wool trade in terms of its economic importance to the county." disrupts the flow of the paragraph a bit and I'm not sure how important it is to mention in the lead. What would you say about moving these two sentences to a footnote?
• In footnote d, "Nikolaus Pevsner's comment on their decision was;" should end with a colon.
• Will look at the list itself later. Shwabb1taco 23:00, 20 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks. I think I have actioned all of these but my understanding of the use of en/em dashes is very rudimentary. I've used unspaced em dashes for the Pevsner quote. Is this what was wanted? KJP1 (talk) 04:21, 21 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Unspaced em dashes can be used interchangeably with spaced en dashes (though in the latter case the first space has to be non-breaking per MOS:DASHVAR). En dashes should also be used for ranges between numbers and dates (MOS:RANGE). I've applied both fixes (and also my fifth point about the colon), and I'll look over the table again tomorrow and leave final comments. Shwabb1taco 00:02, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Continuing...

• For "Balliol College, old library", I'm not sure if square brackets are allowed at "[see below]". MOS only mentions their use in quotations (I think), and while I can't find an explicit ban on their use elsewhere, I would replace them with regular brackets just in case.
• To clarify, is "Exeter College, south-east range, Main Quadrangle" both a Grade I and Grade II* listed building?
• For "St Catherine's College, master's house and garden wall to north", what's the purpose of "[..]" in the quote?
• For "St Catherine's College, music house" and "wall 2m west of the music house", I'm assuming the wall is on the left of the picture and the house on the right, but this should probably be mentioned in the descriptions.
• For "Ashmolean Museum and Taylor Institution", "museum/art gallery" should be changed to "museum and art gallery" per MOS:SLASH.
• The "Completed" column does not sort properly; fix with sort templates. You can assign approximate values for structures not dated to specific years (e.g., 1650 for the 17th century).
• The "Location" column may optionally be rowspanned where applicable.
• I've applied some minor changes such as replacing instances of "c." with Template:circa; I hope you're fine with them though feel free to contest any of these. I'll go over the alt text tomorrow and that should be it. Shwabb1taco 22:59, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@KJP1: Apologies for a late comment, as you know Historic England omits apostrophes. I would add apostrophes as follows, but some of them are debatable. I am asking now because I have noticed that some St John's College categories in Commons are missing apostrophes. Of course you may prefer to follow Historic England in some or all cases.

• Corpus Christi College, Fellows Building → Fellows' Building
• Corpus Christi College, Gentlemen Commoners' Buildings (already done)
• All Saints Church → All Saints' Church
• Magdalen College, Founders Tower → Founder's Tower
• Merton College, Fellows Quadrangle → Fellows' Quadrangle
• St John's College, Cooks Building → Cook's Building TSventon (talk) 21:22, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
No problem at all. I'm inclined to agree. The instances you cite should have apostrophes and I don't think we should be constrained by the fact that HE doesn't use them. I'll make the necessary amendments. KJP1 (talk) 10:17, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
And now done. KJP1 (talk) 10:24, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Couldn't pass up this one given that my son is currently a student at Oxford and one of these can be seen from his window.......

• "The Medieval period" - pretty sure medieval doesn't need a capital M
• "Granted city status in 1542 the city and university continued to expand" - the university wasn't granted city status, so maybe change to "Oxford was granted city status in 1542 and the city and university continued to expand"
• "built to defend the town in 1226-1240" => "built to defend the town between 1226 and 1240"
• There seems to be come inconsistent capitalisation. The official listing names seem to be capitalise almost every word, which is probably fine, but I'm not sure that in regular prose (i.e. the notes column) terms like "medieval kitchen" should be capitalised. I can also see "The west range" and "The East Range" in consecutive listings
• "The Library, almost, closes Peckwater Quad on the southern side" - those commas are not needed
• "Their plan was for two, three-range, quads" => "Their plan was for two three-range quads"
• "By William Townesend, a prominent Oxford sculptor and architect, and dating from the 1730s." - this is a sentence fragment so should not have a full stop. This also applies to quite a few of the listings from this point on......
• That's what I got :-) -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 18:17, 7 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Chris, many thanks for these. Will get on to them later today. And congratulations to your son. KJP1 (talk) 05:44, 8 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
ChrisTheDude - I have attempted to address your issues through a series of edits. I think, and hope, that almost all are now resolved. The issue I vacillated over was the capitalisation of quads. Initially, I decapitalised, as with kitchen, hall etc. But then, I reverted myself, as Front Quad, St John's College, seemed to warrant capitalisation as much as Canterbury Quad, St John's College. Let me know what you think. I am no MoS specialist, on this or any other point, and am quite happy to go with the prevailing view. KJP1 (talk) 20:24, 8 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• "After "Hello, Goodbye"'s spell at number one, the next six chart-toppers": Any objection to "After "Hello, Goodbye", the next six chart-toppers"? That seems to work to me.
• Standard disclaimer: I don't know what I'm doing, and I mostly AGF on sourcing.
• Checking the FLC criteria:
• 1. Nothing else is jumping out at me as a prose problem. I checked sorting on all sortable nonnumeric columns and sampled the table links.
• 2. The lead meets WP:LEAD and defines the inclusion criteria.
• 3a. The list has comprehensive items and annotations.
• 3c. The list meets requirements as a stand-alone list, it isn't a content fork, and it doesn't largely duplicate another article (that I can find).
• 4. It is navigable.
• 5. It meets style requirements. I don't see an image-license problem.

• "The British group held the top spot for the first two weeks of the new year ..." - I would probably go for "They held the top spot" or something similar as there does not seem to be significance of them being British to this chart feat
• Do you think it might be useful to pipe the entire text of "John Fred and his Playboy Band" to John Fred? The article seems to be about the band just as much as the individual, so it might be helpful to clearly point to readers they can click the link to read about the band as well
• "Goldsboro's "Honey" was a triple Billboard chart-topper, also reaching number one on both the Hot Country Singles and Easy Listening charts" - a bit nitpicky but it is a bit jarring to read "triple", followed by only two charts being named. How about "Goldsboro's "Honey" was a triple Billboard chart-topper, reaching number one on the Hot 100 as well as the Hot Country Singles and Easy Listening charts"
• Ref 6 - I think it should be single inverted commas for "Love Is Blue" instead of double
• Ref 14 - I think RS would go in italics in the title as short for Rolling Stone
• Another great addition to the series. If you are interested, I have put up an FAC for a short song article. Regards.--NØ 16:33, 6 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• According to The Beatles, the "The" is part of their name and should be capitalized.
• "They held the top spot for the first two weeks of the new year and then returned to number one in September with "Hey Jude", which spent nine weeks atop the chart, tying the record for the longest unbroken run at number one on the Hot 100, set by "Theme from A Summer Place" by Percy Faith in 1960." --> Holy run-on sentence, Batman! I would split that in half, at the very least.

Mauriat's "Love Is Blue", the first Hot 100 number one by a French act, was an instrumental version of "L'amour est bleu", performed by Vicky Leandros in the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest.

Redding, who had died in an airplane crash in December 1967, was the first artist to achieve a number one posthumously when "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" reached the top spot three months later.

Goldsboro's "Honey" was a triple Billboard chart-topper, reaching number one on both the Hot Country Singles and Easy Listening charts in addition to the Hot 100.
8 Whitburn 1996, p. 128.
9 Whitburn 2002, p. 104.
Despite this success, it was the only top 10 entry he achieved on the Hot 100.
10 Whitburn 2005, p. 283.
Four more acts gained their first Hot 100 number ones during the second half of the year: Herb Alpert, Hugh Masekela, Jeannie C. Riley, and Marvin Gaye.
11 Whitburn 2005, pp. 14, 272, 273, 448, 593.
Alpert had topped Billboard's Easy Listening chart several times, but had never previously reached number one on the Hot 100. Similarly, Gaye had achieved four previous number ones on the magazine's R&B chart,

but "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" was his first single to achieve sufficient pop crossover to top the Hot 100.

It is one of several 1968 number ones to have been included on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time; in 2004, the magazine ranked "Hey Jude" at number 8, "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" at number 28, and "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" at number 80.

Hey y'all, mammal list #77 in our perpetual series and rodent list #22: Gerbillinae. This is our second of three lists working through the subfamilies of the last family in this series, the giant family of Muridae. The subfamily Gerbillinae includes the gerbils, jirds, and sand rats. With 102 species in Africa and Asia, it's still a reasonable size, which is foreshadowing for the last species list in this series. As always, the list reflects the scientific consensus as well as the results of prior FLCs. Thanks for reviewing! --PresN 02:10, 5 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Good to see more rodent nominations from you. I did a search for usable images on iNaturalist. Tangentially related I was able to find this website, eGerbil (archived) which has since been usurped by a gambling site but has an amazing animated header image. The image of the pleasant gerbil is of dubious identification since this species isn't necessarily present in Morocco at all, but it is sold as a pet in some places. Will work on this later, probably with an image review. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 18:55, 5 June 2026 (UTC) Image review below. Linked items have problems.[reply]

Holy cow, that's a lot of gerbils! Don't tell Richard Gere...

• You have Sudan wikilinked next to Khartoum gerbil, when it has appeared several times previously, and was presumably wikilinked at its first appearance.

• "third most expensive player in the history of IPL" => "third most expensive player in the history of the IPL"
• "became the joint-most expensive uncapped players in the history of IPL" - same
• "Meanwhile the 79 unsold players included players" => "The 79 unsold players included players"
• "Right-to-Match (RTM) cards were not available for mini auction." - please explain "right-to-match" cards. The link just goes to the generic IPL article so that's not really much help.
• "Any auctioned player withdrew before the 2025 season without legitimate reason or injury are banned" => "Any auctioned player who withdrew before the 2025 season without legitimate reason or injury are is banned"
• "Ten sets of players divided based on their specialisation" => "Ten sets of players were divided based on their specialisation"
• "batters, all-rounders, wicket keeper batters, fast bowlers and spin bowlers; and status: capped and uncapped went up for bidding first" - I don't understand which group(s) the last five words relate to
• I don't understand the totals mentioned in the lead: 369 players were shortlisted, 77 were sold, and 79 were unsold. What happened to the other 113 players.....? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 15:43, 17 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@ChrisTheDude
• Removed RTM since it was not relevant to this season anyways.
• Player groups: capped batters & uncapped batters, capped bowlers & uncapped bowlers etc.
• Resolved the players count; only 156 were featured in the auction.
All else done. Vestrian24Bio 11:10, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
• I still don't understand this part "Ten sets of players were divided based on their specialisation: batters, all-rounders, wicket keeper batters, fast bowlers and spin bowlers; and status: capped and uncapped went up for bidding first" - who exactly went up for bidding first? It seems like there are some words missing...... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 11:20, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@ChrisTheDude: this is the order they went up in
1. Capped batters
2. Capped all-rounders
3. Capped wicket-keepers
4. Capped fast bowlers
5. Capped spin bowlers
6. Uncapped batters
7. Uncapped all-rounders
8. Uncapped wicket-keepers
9. Uncapped fast bowlers
10. Uncapped spin bowlers
I'm just not sure how to explain it all in a prose summary. Vestrian24Bio 11:34, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
In that case I would phrase it as "Ten sets of players were divided based on their specialisation: batters, all-rounders, wicket-keeper batters, fast bowlers and spin bowlers; and status: capped and uncapped. The capped players went up for bidding first followed by the uncapped players." -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 11:36, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Accessibility review (MOS:DTAB)

[edit]
• Tables need captions,

which allow screen reader software to jump straight to named tables without having to read out all of the text before it each time.

Column scopes can be added by adding !scope=col to each header cell, e.g. !Flag becomes !scope=col | Flag. If the cell spans multiple columns with a colspan, then use !scope=colgroup instead.
• Tables need row scopes on the "primary" column for each row, which in combination with column scopes lets screen reader software accurately determine and read out the headers for each cell of a data table. Row scopes can be added by adding !scope=row to each primary cell, e.g. |Communist Party of India (Marxist) becomes !scope=row | Communist Party of India (Marxist). If the cell spans multiple rows with a rowspan, then use !scope=rowgroup instead.
• Please see MOS:DTAB for example table code if this isn't clear. I don't return to these reviews until the nomination is ready to close, so ping me if you have any questions. This is not a full review, and does not result in a support vote. --PresN 19:39, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Contents and sourcing

[edit]
• Whilst superficially, the tables look nice, there is material that lacks proper sourcing. In "Ideology" column, the list seems to extract labels from article infoboxes, that are often arbitrary, dubious or unsourced. What ideology is "Anti-merger Group"? The notion that NCP would be "Gandhian Socialist" is quite dubious, the label "Manism" is weird, and so forth. The whole "Associate Members" section is a WP:OR invention. True, there are a number of parties that are not LDF members per se that the LDF allocated seats to contest (and even gets to have ministers in LDF govts), but there is no formal Associate Member status. And there is a difference between a party like INL (who gets to be part of seat sharing for elections, for multiple elections over many years) and MLPI(RF) who declares support for LDF from outside. --Soman (talk) 10:35, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Next up in an ongoing series of hurricane season timeline nominations: that of the 1998 Pacific hurricane season. The season was somewhat below average by raw storm count, but an unusually high proportion of those storms became strong and/or long-lasting. Most systems fortunately stayed clear of land, though Isis hit Mexico as a minimal hurricane, and the remnants of Madeline contributed to disastrous flooding in Texas.

I will endeavour to address any concerns as quickly as I can. GiftedIceCream, who chipped in quite a bit here while I was away, is invited to sign on as a co-nom. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 16:16, 30 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• "Prevailing atmospheric currents steered the vast majority of storms out to sea" where is this in the source?
Quoting from MWR: Most of the tropical storms and hurricanes remained away from land on climatologically favored tracks toward the west-northwest. Prevailing steering resulted from a persistent 50-mb anticyclone located over the western United States. This feature persisted throughout most of the summer. A few tropical cyclones threatened Baja California during short periods when the strong anticyclone weakened. In most of these cases, however, the anticyclone reestablished itself and steered the storms to the west-northwest before they reached Baja California. • 00:00 UTC on October 17 shows that it actually dissipated, which is not consistent with the others that you place in the six hours before dissipation.
The TCR says dissipating, indicating that it was on its last legs but still a tropical cyclone at the time. This is reflected in HURDAT, which maintains Kay as a tropical depression at 0z on the 17th. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 14:35, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hurricanehink

[edit]
• Quick drive-by comment. Is there a reason you're not naming the tropical depressions, like 1-E, etc? I see you do it for the TD's that didn't intensify. I get not doing it for Celia, Howard, or Isis, since advisories began on it as a TS. But when you have multiple storms, like when Kay weakened to a TD and a new TD formed that became Madeline, it might be a bit confusing which one is which.
My understanding is that it has been standard practice to only include the number of each tropical depression if it was explicitly mentioned in the TCR. For instance, Beryl of the 2024 Atlantic season was operationally designated as Tropical Depression Two when it formed, but the TCR never calls the incipient depression TD 2, just "a tropical depression", so the timeline bit for Beryl's formation was edited accordingly. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 20:33, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
• The lead talks about how the timeline mentions extratropical transitions, but it doesn't appear there were any this season.
This was from the boilerplate, but I take your point. Removed. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 20:33, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
• I feel like somewhere in the lead should mention/link the Saffir-Simpson scale so it doesn't appear for the first time in Blas's section.
I converted the footnote about major hurricanes into prose to address this. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 20:33, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
• Make sure refs are in order, for example, ref 15 was before ref 4.
Thanks for catching; fixed. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 20:33, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
• Is it worth specifying Howard's peak on August 23rd being the strongest storm for the whole season?
Couldn't hurt; I have done this in previous timelines. Dylan620 (he/they/she • talkedits) 20:33, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, if you were truly in your Tumblr girl era in the early 2010s, then you would know that this iconic name is not actually a backing band, and is without any doubt referring to her established fans. Of course, I am clearly talking about the Welsh indie-pop singer Marina Diamandis, formerly known as Marina and the Diamonds (and sometimes by her stamped black heart-on-cheek alter ego, Electra Heart).

I am nominating her discography article for featured list because she been in the game for nearly two decades, where her music has inspired many artists, notably being Billie Eilish, Kim Petras and Slayyyter. Furthermore, Diamandis has been more outspoken with her social and political views in recent albums, while attributing her status as a gay icon to her 1970s campness and sense of humour, proven to be seen through Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land (2021). This is the same album I actually first listened to from her, which dove me into a massive rabbit hole in her previous work, coming in to fix any issues that were made by others in the past.

As of right now, I have tried my best to rewrite this whole extensive page, adding and archiving any correct sources, believing that it fits the criteria. Hopefully you join in and help an editor out with your constructive comments! Thanks. Is it Juan? (talk) 05:13, 27 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The list covers all Pakistani submissions for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film through the 98th Academy Awards cycle, is supported by reliable sources including the Academy, Dawn, The Express Tribune, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter, and has been updated with a revised lead, improved prose, and cleaner references. I welcome feedback and will address any issues raised during the review. Umais🗣 08:18, 26 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• "animated and documentary feature films are also eligible" - "also" implies that you mentioned a different type of feature film earlier, but you didn't.
• "Pakistan's first submission was The Day Shall Dawn for the 32nd Academy Awards" - for all the ceremonies which you refer to in this way in the lead, specify the year in brackets, as I doubt many people reading the article will know when, for example, the 32nd Oscars took place
• "In July 2023, filmmaker Mohammed Ali Naqvi was appointed chairma" - presumably he is mentioned because he is from Pakistan? If so, say that
• Titles starting with "The" should sort based on the second word in the title

Accessibility review (MOS:DTAB)

[edit]
• Tables need captions, which allow screen reader software to jump straight to named tables without having to read out all of the text before it each time. Visual captions can be added by putting |+ caption_text as the first line of the table code; if that caption would duplicate a nearby section header, you can make it screen-reader-only by putting |+ caption_text instead.
• Tables need column scopes for all column header cells, which in combination with row scopes lets screen reader software accurately determine and read out the headers for each cell of a data table. Column scopes can be added by adding !scope=col to each header cell, e.g. ! Year becomes !scope=col | Year (each header on its own line).
! 1959 becomes !scope=row | 1959.
--PresN 19:37, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• "It is housed in the Vidhan Sabha Bhavan," - don't think the building name should be in italics
• I would also break that quite long sentence into two
• "has had 6 terms" => "has had six terms"
• "Indian National Congress, the largest opposition party" => "The Indian National Congress, the largest opposition party"
• "According to the 2011 census of India the Scheduled Castes constitute 12.8%, while the Scheduled Tribes constitute 30.6% of the population of the state" => "According to the 2011 census of India the Scheduled Castes constitute 12.8% of the population of the state, while the Scheduled Tribes constitute 30.6%."

According to the 1987 constitution and Republic Act No. 7056 in 1992, senators have been elected on a nationwide, at-large basis via a plurality-at-large voting system. A voter has twelve votes and can vote for up to twelve candidates. Votes are tallied nationwide, and the twelve candidates with the highest number of votes are elected to the Senate. A person cannot be a senator if they are not a natural-born Filipino citizen, are less than 35 years old on the day of the election, cannot read and write, are not a registered voter, or have not been a resident of the Philippines for more than two years before election day. The Commission on Elections administers elections for the Senate and the Senate Electoral Tribunal handles election disputes after a senator has taken office.

Thanks for the list!

• It might be worth considering changing Camille Villar's photo, given that she is missing an arm (and I haven't found information that she is missing one in real life). Even though an older or non-official photo would have to be used.
• I would link the coalitions in the text, and not in the table
• I don´t see understand why the table isn't sortable for things like birth year, party and coalition
• Reactions to the results should not be discussed on the list, but only on 2025 Philippine Senate election in my opinion.
• The same goes for background and coalitions, who is and isn't candidate isn't relevant or a list about those elected. That's more fitting for Candidates in the 2025 Philippine Senate election imo
• It would be nice to mention how many seats the Senate has in the first sentence of the lede
• I don´t understand what "Voted at" means if is nationwide. Some more explanation in the note would help me as someone with little knowledge of Philippine politics.

Comments from Bgsu98 (5/17/26)

[edit]

I enjoyed reading this article! I have following comments:

• Unless something noteworthy happened en route, the repetitive entries about Jefferson traveling to and from Monticello seem very unnecessary.
May 1801
• "Jefferson appoints William C. C. Claiborne as governor of the Mississippi Territory."
June 1801
• You mention Jefferson traveling to Mount Vernon to express his condolences to Martha Washington. I assume this is after the death of George Washington. That is a noteable enough event to include in the timeline on its own. I just looked, and it appears Washington died while Adams was still in office. Therefore, I would add a note to this entry about visiting Martha Washington mentioning when and under what circumstances George Washington died.
• Is there an appropriate wikilink for "collector of customs"?
• Is there an appropriate wikilink for "USS Enterprise" (that is not a spaceship 😉)?
July 1801
• Ditto for these other ships.
• A brief explanation as to what the Convention of 1800 is would be useful, even if offset with en-dashes.
August 1801
• You have the USS Enterprise wikilinked here, when it should be linked at its first mention above.
September 1801
• Jefferson's arrival in Washington does not seem to be noteworthy.
November 1801
• There has to be a wikilink for postmaster general.
January 1802
• "a commission rules that the United States owes £600,000 equivalent to $66,720,000 in 2024)" --> I think there is an open parenthesis missing.
• Same as above, I would include a brief mention as to why establishing the Library of Congress is significant (ie. it is the national library of the United States).
March 1802
• What is the Midnight Judges Act? Readers shouldn't have to navigate away from the article in order to understand the full context. Even something like "The Midnight Judges Act – an act passed in 1801 that blah, blah, blah... – is repealed. Also, how? Repealed by Congress? By the Supreme Court?
April 1802
• You shift from present to past tense in the entry for April 14.
• The image caption is written in past tense, whereas the prose mostly uses the present.
• Is there a wikilink for the USS Constellation?
May 1802
• You have "its mayor" in the wikilink, when I would just go with "mayor" (ie. leave the "its" outside the wikilink).
July 1802
• There have to be wikilinks for the U.S. Military Academy and West Point.
• Ditto for the USS Adams.
October 1802
• What is the "intendent of New Orleans"?
November 1802
• Wikilink Northwest Territory
July 1803
• "Congress will reject the amendment in October but authorize the purchase." When?
August 1803
• "Jefferson receives news that France was expressing reluctance in the Louisiana Purchase." --> What does this mean?
• The phrase is "en route".
October 1803
• Wikilink USS Philadelphia.
November 1803
• How is Spanish transferring Louisiana to France if France already sold it to the U.S.?
December 1803
• What is the Bankruptcy Act of 1800?
• "...is appointed governor of the Orleans Territory."
January 1804
• "The Senate ratifies a treaty with Spain to resolve financial disputes. The convention had was originally been signed in August 1802 and it would will not be ratified by Spain until July 1818." --> Since the base of this sentence is the present tense, the resultant verbs should be in the past and future tenses, as indicated.
February 1804
• You have USS Philadelphia wikilinked here, when it should have been wikilinked earlier at its first mention.
April 1805
• The Red River Expedition is missing a date.
• "He ends his cordial relationship with Burr in the following week when he learns Burr is challenging the legitimacy of Jefferson's election in 1801."
May 1805
• "May – Jefferson appoints Robert Williams as governor of the Mississippi Territory." --> This is also missing a date.
• "Commodore James Barron informs Hamet Karamanli that the United States will stop supplying him outside of naval support." --> What does this mean? Supplying him what?
July 1805
• "Jefferson appoints James Wilkinson as governor of the Louisiana Territory."
December 1805
• "He delivers a second message to Congress secretly to inform them he is negotiating additional territorial acquisitions with France and needs funding."
• "James Wilkinson is confirmed as governor of the Louisiana Territory."
March 1806
• "Congress authorizes a commission to plan the Cumberland Road from Cumberland, Maryland, to Weeling, Virginia (present-day West Virginia) to assist with transportation to and from the Ohio River."
April 1806
• Non-importation Act --> Importation should also be capitalized.
• "The HMS Leander fires a warning shot at American shipping vessels..." --> I don't think the "The" is needed.
August 1806
• "James Wilkinson leaves the Louisiana Territory on Jefferson's orders."
November 1806
• "The Pike Expedition reaches the mountain that will eventually be named Pikes Peak in Pike's honor." --> That part seems unnecessary.
• "Worrying that Burr is going to invade and annex Spanish territory, Jefferson issues a proclamation warning the American people not to participate."
January 1807
• "Jefferson receives a message from Wilkinson. It includes what are ostensibly incriminating writings by Burr. It is never determined whether they were genuine or fraudulent."
March 1807
• I have seen different spellings of Meriwether on this timeline.
September 1807
• What is Burr's misdemeanor charge for?
November 1807
• "Baltimore sees protests against Burr." --> What does this mean?

User:Thebiguglyalien: I have examined the entire article. My biggest suggestions are:

1. Removal of any non-consequential mentions of Jefferson's travel to and from Monticello.
2. Brief explanations (like, one sentence each) for certain pieces of legislation, treaties, or court cases that are mentioned, so that a reader does not have to navigate elsewhere to figure out the gist of what is goine on.

Please let me know once you have had a chance to examine my comments! Bgsu98 (Talk) 00:20, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Bgsu98:
• I've made all of the suggested grammar fixes, added the explanatory notes, and linked each item on its first appearance.
• I think it's good to have the timeline show when Jefferson and Congress were in Washington, since it explains when they are and aren't active. I've removed the duplication though where it gives his departure and arrival each time.
• None of the overview sources provide an exact start date for the Red River Expedition. Do you think this means it's just undue?
• I've removed "misdemeanor" so it just says treason, that's the part that actually matters.
Thebiguglyalien (talk) 22:03, 20 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

This is a very long article – he was a two-term president; of course it's going to be – so I'm going to read through it again to see if anything else stands out.

March 1801
• You could consider wikilinking Cabinet. Also, Cabinet appears to be capitalized.
• "lifting the requirement that houses by made of brick or stone" --> should be "house be made"
May 1801
June 1801
• I would clarify that Martha Washington's husband was George Washington, the first U.S. president.
• "Reportedly, she later describes her interaction with Jefferson as painful." --> This seems unnecessary and out of place, and seems to be more about Martha Washington than Thomas Jefferson.
November 1801
• Recommend wikilinking postmaster general unless it has already been linked previously (which is possible).
December 1801
• You might clarify what year Wilson delivered his SOU in person, just to emphasize the vast amount of time that the SOU had been delivered in writing.
April 1802
• "It also allows citizenship for anyone under 21 when their parents became naturalized citizenship." --> This phrasing is a little unclear. Is it retroactive? If so, perhaps "It also allows citizenship for anyone who was under 21 when their parents became naturalized citizens". If it is not retroactive, then it would be "It also allows citizenship for anyone under 21 when their parents become naturalized citizens". --> Also note the incorrect use of citizenship v. citizen.
February 1803
• Prosecuted for what?
March 1803
• What is significant about Stuart v. Laird?
August 1803
• "Meriwether Lewis begins traveling from Pittsburgh en route to join William Clark as co-leaders of the Lewis and Clark Expedition." --> The "en route" is out of place and unneeded.
March 1804
• "The Land Act of 1804 reduced the lower limit..." --> That should be "reduces".
June 1804
• "Former consul Richard Henry O'Brien is sent to negotiate with Tripoli and offer $60,000..." --> That should be either "to offer" or "offers".
July 1805
• "amid rumors that he intents to form his own country" --> That should be "intends".
• " John Rodgers and demands that Tunisian leader Hammuda ibn Ali declare Tunis will not seek war with the United States." --> Something about the wording in italics is off. Perhaps "confirm that"?

User:Thebiguglyalien: Please let me know when you've had a chance to examine my comments. Bgsu98 (Talk) 16:11, 10 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Bgsu98, everything should be fixed now. I removed a couple of the minor items where the source simply mentioned they happened as part of a timeline without any explanation of the significance. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 05:23, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Lead
• I would recommend beginning the first sentence with "The British rock band..."
• What does it mean, busk?
• "The former was preceded by multiple warm-up shows, with one of them being a headlining performance at Coachella."
• "According to Pollstar, the band earned $142.9 million from 2.6 million tickets sold in North America in the 2000s decade."
• "Coldplay were credited with ushering into in a new era..."
• "The first 223 shows have made over $1.52 billion..."
Tables
• I would recommend center-justifying the first column on the first table to match all subsequent tables. I recommend styling the tables to match.
Notes
• Notes L, M, and N are not full sentences, so they do not need periods at the end.
• Same for notes P, Q, and R.
• Same for notes AA.
• "The concerts in Sydney on 15 November 2012 was broadcast..." --> Either "The concerts... were" or "The concert... was"
• Notes AD does not need a period at the end.

Comments from BennyOnTheLoose

[edit]

I've never reviewed a featured list/article nomination where no authors are mentioned in the references, but I haven't found any policy or guideline that says they must be.

I did a couple of random checks for setlists and none of the three were completely listed in the source:

• 23 November 2019: source dies not confirm all performed songs (e.g. Sparks)
• 25 November 2019: source does not confirm (all) performed songs.
• 21 January 2020: source does not confirm performed songs (in fact, it predates the show)
Are the other setlists confirmed by the stated sources?
• BroadwayWorld is considered generally unreliable [WP:BROADWAYWORLD
• IMDb is is considered unreliable by a majority of editors, but is used a few times. WP:IMDB
• What makes the TABENON YouTube channel a reliable source? (Coldplay - 2000-11-14 Nulle Part Ailleurs) WP:RSPYT
• What makes the Timaches Music YouTube channel a reliable source? (Coldplay (Chris) – God Put a Smile Upon Your Face + Interview (Rove Live, 2003))
• What makes the breanchu YouTube channel a reliable source? (Coldplay Live at RTL2 Studios in Paris (2005-04-13).)
• Sme question for the other unofficial YouTube refs.
• Looks from RSN like Pop Sugar, Ecomomic Times and Rolling Stone are OK soures for what they are used for here.
• What makes Oz [@ColdplayVault] a reliable source?
• What makes the Cardiff Music History / Hanes Miwsig Caerdydd's Facebook page a reliable source?
• What makes Coldplay Access [@coldplayaccess] a reliable source?

I'll have some more comments once I've seen the responses to the above. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 22:16, 24 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Coldplay Access, Cardiff Music History and Oz provide evidence through posters or screenshots. As for the set lists, not all references confirm them in full, but they prove the show happened. If precise breakdowns were required for every event, the list would be greatly reduced and lose meaning. Not to mention featured pages such as List of Taylor Swift live performances and List of Lady Gaga live performances would have never been promoted. Broadway World, YouTube and IMDb need to be checked though. I'll work on them when I can. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 22:35, 24 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Looks ike List of Lady Gaga live performances was promoted over ten years ago so probably isn't a good example for current expectations. List of Taylor Swift live performances has several "unknown"s in the performed songs column. I'd be interested to hear what other reviewers or the co-ordinators think about how WP:V applies to performed songs here, as I'm not looking to create unnecessary hurdles. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 10:46, 25 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It feels like a blurry territory for me. I mean, take the Live in Jordan special, it was uploaded on Coldplay's YouTube channel. Should I use the performance itself as a reference instead of citing a magazine that mentions its release? Weird stuff. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 19:15, 25 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• Hyperlink character names in the lead where needed (Santana, Speedwagon, Iggy, Avdol, Kakoyin, Polnareff are the ones I see at a glance.)
• Many statements in the lead are uncited and not backed up in the body. Examples include: "The story is based on the first arc, and the gameplay is similar to GioGio's Bizarre Adventure" and the bulk of the fourth paragraph.
• Sources 14 and 15 are using bare links rather than proper citation formatting. These should be adjusted.
• A number of uncited statements in the table. Everything should be cited, especially genre and developers.
• What is the reliability of Geek Snack? Rest of the sources at a glance look solid.

Overall decent article, but needs a lot of citation work before I'm willing to support. @OpalYosutebito: let me know when the above are addressed or if I can clarify anything. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 01:06, 17 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@OpalYosutebito A few minor points on citations: In the lead, several of the citations lack author names or are missing website links (Siliconera is also referred to as Silicon era in one citation). Make sure you're incorporating these links, names, dates etc when adding more sources, especially once you get to the body tables.
Also, double check your character hyperlinks in the lead. For example, Iggy is still unlinked, and the Joestars also lack them on first mention (Johnothan for example is only linked in the last paragraph, rather than in the second where he is first referenced) Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 02:59, 19 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Will review this. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 11:00, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• "Several video games based on long-running manga and anime series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure have been released." I feel like you should mention the creator of JoJo's within that sentence. Maybe even a summary of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for people unfamiliar with the series, but I know that it would be pretty difficult to briefly summarise Jojo's.
• "A third Capcom game based on JoJo's fifth story arc, Vento Aureo(→), titled GioGio's Bizarre Adventure" Vento Aureo is another name for Golden Wind, but I feel like it should be replaced with the latter since that's more common; people are probably gonna know Part 5 as "Golden Wind".
• The second and last paragraph in the lead should be joined together imo
• I don't see anywhere in [2] that says the official release date of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future was specifically October 14, 1999, nor do I see "Updated revision of the 1998 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure video game", just "followed by a Sony PlayStation console version in 1999. It was then ported to the Sega Dreamcast console"
• I think Template:Lang should be used for the Japanese characters, see Template:Lang#Rationale
• The table in the "list of tables" section should have table captions (screen-reader only or just publicly available is up to your choice I think) per MOS:TABLECAPTIONS
• "Playstation 2" is linked twice in the table, whereas other repeated video game consoles are not; either link all of them or don't for consistency
• It seems that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Shooters mentions "Released 4 days later for iOS", but JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven doesn't mention how the PS4 version was released later than the PS3 version? See below. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 15:41, 24 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
• "{release}" at the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Official App row...
• Citation for the release date of JoJo's Pitter Patter Pop! should be moved to the colon after the header, like the other rows
• The following are problems with references. I'm clustering them in their own little section since if I recall correctly, the last time I saw the reference section, it looked up to code. Since then, I'm assuming all the problems highlighted below are the result of implementing other reviewers' comments?
• Empty "Notes" section
• Cite web errors in a couple of citations
• A few bare URLs
• Multiple links are missing archived links... they are needed for consistency
• "週刊少年ジャンプ 1987 表示号数1" does not have a translated title; add one for consistency
• Some citations are missing access dates

All from the first round of review. Feel free to oppose anything, ofc. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 15:15, 17 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• "...by Anchor Inc. and published by Bandai" Bandai should be linked here
• JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's Japanese names are listed as "[Hepburn] ([Characters])", yet the Japanese names for the other games are listed the other way around; choose one for consistency.

Andrzejbanas

[edit]

Joining in. Andrzejbanas (talk) 18:53, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

• Spelling/phrasing/grammar.
• "series's" should be "series'"?
• Capital W on West
• We introduce a lot of ideas, in some areas. Sentences like " On December 1, 1998, Capcom released an arcade fighting game, which was also adapted from the third arc; the game was titled simply JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (though it was released as JoJo's Venture in the west), with an updated version titled JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future released later that year." is a pretty big run on sentence.
• At the bottom of the article, we discuss Jojo cross-over games which seem to be related to Shōnen Jump which isn't even mentioned in how it relates to Jojo. A brief description about why these games are included and any consistent relationship with the comics may be helpful.
• Sources
• Large technical details within both the lead are unsourced, this ranges from genres (various mentioned, some unsourced. some I'm not even familiar with ("Medal Shooting Action?") , release dates (some sourced, others not, Japanese games shouldn't be that hard to find release dates for with Famitsu and other sources), developers & publishers (Cobra Team, WinkySoft, Drecom, etc. In the infobox they are separated as developers and publishers, in the info box they are all listed as developers. Which are they? Do we need to know?) in both the lead and the actual lists.
• Other more real world information is also not sourced. Such as "as the series became popularized", ok, where? Japan? The West? Is this what led to the release or was it other factors?
• POV
• A lot of this is written from a fan's POV and presumes we're familiar with either manga or anime series. Describing material as being from "based on the third story arc, Stardust Crusaders" is probably okay if you are familiar with the series, but I wouldn't know if this is from the manga, the anime, some larger Shonen Jump thing, etc. It should give a bit more content to what Jojo is per WP:AUDIENCE so when we mention characters and cameos.
• I would be cautious to use terms like "Mainline" games unless they are referred to as such by some third-party source. Perhaps better just to say licensed games here to clarify that they are not, fan games or something?
• Display
• The table is a bit confusing. Just having a single release date/year and then a series of systems does not make it clear what came out first for what system.
• We could save a lot of problems like citing publishers/developers/genres etc. by using a different format of table. I'd suggest something similar to how List of Bleach video games is listed which gives space to clarify some details.
• Also like the Bleach article, we may be better off without an info box and just using the logo or something else representative. A giant group of developers, publishers and genres is more confusing than helpful when they are so many games.

That's all I have at the moment, but I know of a lot what I suggested already would involve a lot of ripping it up and starting again of the article. Andrzejbanas (talk) 20:06, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Andrzejbanas it's been a while. Do any of your concerns still remain? - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat02:49, 1 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Its looking a lot better! :) Great work! Still some issues. I think we could re-arrange some information in the lead to format some bits. Like, the " JoJo's Bizarre Adventure began serialization in the weekly shōnen manga anthology Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1987" might be a better as part of the intro. Perhaps after that, just a bit of info of what the general idea of what the series is about (something like "Its about [so and so characters] who do [whatever the general plot beat of JoJo is]" then perhaps say the series is split into various arcs which could lead into the discussion of what game matches what and continue from there. You could re-iterate that into Shonen Jump stuff after.
I haven't checked all the sources yes, but if you agree with me (please do not hesitate to say I may be asking for something wrong), but I do think it'll make things more clear about what we're dealing with. :) Andrzejbanas (talk) 03:05, 1 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Andrzejbanas what do you think about the prose now? I added a bit of context in the lead - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat20:22, 27 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Sorry for my absense. Had a few other things going on at the time to not re-read this.
A few more points.
1. "have been released. The plot of the series is split into nine parts, the first six of which focus on a longwithstanding generational conflict between series protagonist Jonathan Joestar and the vampire Dio Brando." is not sourced.
2. Cite [1] only works in its archived form (at least for me). I would add "url-status=usurped" to it and update the accessdate
3. "The first video game, which used the series title, was a role-playing video game based on Stardust Crusaders, the third story arc in the series, and was released in March 1993 for the Super Famicom." is still unsourced (specifically the details of the it being based off the third story arc). This is still continued throughout the article. I don't think its bad or unimportant info, but it requires sources to back it up.
4. Some sources add commentary that is not part of the source, for example, the Famitsu website citation following the cite that says "A role-playing video game as opposed to the typical fighting games", the latter half is not part of the source, only the first part mentions its an RPG game. This is also a bit weird to say as we haven't introduced the idea the game is predominantly fighting games.
I currently don't think its poorly written, but so much content is not backed up by its sources. Please re-confirm that all of them are backed up by what is being said to be inline with WP:RS and WP:OR. Andrzejbanas (talk) 05:48, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately this list was nominated almost 20 years ago and the standards have significantly shifted. Here are a few issues:

• Lead is short and doesn't accurately summarize the list.
• Citations tags include: contain dead links, and failed verifications, and contain user generated content (I believe this refers to one of the references used not being appropriate, and has been there for 7 years)
• The "notes" section is sparse and underdeveloped. Consider Grade I listed buildings in Oxford for how the notes for buildings should be. If there is nothing notable about the building, then it shouldn't be on this list, as wikipedia is not a directory.
• History section should be updated and expanded (when it says some buildings are not downtown, where are they?)
• Outdated wording "this list is..."
• None of the images have alt-texts and fail accessibility.
• Page could really use a map
• The one note, is just repeated in the notes section.

I am nominating this for featured list removal because 3 weeks ago I made a talk page post and pinged numerous editors active there in the past, where I outlined the problems: "After List of Boruto characters was merged here, this gained a lot of unreferenced content (ex. section on Moegi Kazamatsuri; there are others). My second concern is that even entries on notable characters (ex. Hinata) contain just plot summary and info on voice actors, there is no reception / analysis (which some of the articles on individual characters have, some are even GA like aforementioned Hinata).". Since then, User:BinaryBrainBug also observed that at "Approximately 24,000 words, that's too large". In ter of WP:FLCR, the issuses are 3a (comprehensivness) and 3b (poor referencing). To my concern on comprehensivness, I'll add that the list has cherry-picked random information for various characters and is not very up to date. For example, the newest (Boruto) arc antagonist is Jūra, yet his entry is very short; while for example some less relevant characters (ex. Ao) have much longer plot summaries. This is a minor issue, but the main is the lower quality content when it comes to the merged Boruto entries and lack of summary of reception/analysis for many characters. For example, Boruto character Sumire section is just an unreferenced plot summary, despite sources like [2] or [3] existing. Could indeed be better summarized and referenced. Shouldn't be hard to get back in featured list territory. Not my research area. Let's wait for other opinions. Selbstporträt (talk) 00:13, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I am nominating this for featured list removal because it contains significant unreferenced content (Wikipedia:Featured list criteria: 3b). I have noted the problems few days ago on the talk page, to no replies from anyone (the principal editors of this list are inactive). I am nominating this for featured list removal because

• It probably needs updating. some of the sources were last accessed in 2006. Some of the IUCN assessments probably need updating, and some of the taxonomy has probably been changed too by now.
• Images lack alt text
• Several CS1 errors
• at least one unsourced statement
