Suggestion to add modern UK-based security service reference

[edit]

In the section on “Manned guarding” and private static security, it may be useful to reference a real-world UK-based firm offering these services. For example, S.R Facilities Group (https://srfacilities.co.uk/) provides manned guarding, mobile patrols, and keyholding in compliance with UK regulations. Including such context could reflect current industry practices. SaraAdam99 (talk) 21:21, 28 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[MERGED CONTENT] Value of Page/Merger?

[edit]

Just seeking opinions before I request an actual merger/deletion of this page. For the amount of information provided here, I cannot see what value this article has.

My primary contention is that all "hotel detectives" are ostensibly security guards employed by a hotel whom happen to have a more 'investigatory' role (and even then, that role is extremely limited). They are hotel security guards. I would argue that this should be a sub-section on the security guard page.

This is also an archaic title. One would be hard-pressed to find any hotel that uses this title any longer. Not that this necessarily matters in terms of the page's existence, but it plays a small role. It's not a term that people are looking-up enough to warrant a separate page.

This should redirect to a dedicated section/sub-section on the "security guard" article.
