Featured article concerns

This older featured article promotion has not been adequately maintained since then. Extraction of shale oil is an ongoing and developing process, but the economics and enviornmental material is largely from 2010 or earlier. With the the last 15 years' worth of development missing, this article is becoming out of date. There is additionally some uncited text.
