Lead section has extra information

[edit]

@Salihu Aliyu: I have tagged this article as needing clean-up because the lead section has extra information about this group that is not mentioned in the body of the article. See MOS:LEAD for purpose of the lead. It should provide an accessible overview of the whole article. It should not be written news style, as a Wikipedia article lead section is not a newspaper lede since Wikipedia articles are not news. Information summarised in the lead should be expanded upon in the body of the article. See WP:LEADFOLLOWSBODY. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 10:33, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good day, Cameron. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. I will make the necessary corrections to the article at my earliest convenience. Thank you. S Ahmad Fulani 15:24, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To add to article

[edit]

Basic information to add to this article (in order to help make it more properly encyclopedic): who funds/arms this rebel group. ~2025-31208-44 (talk) 17:17, 27 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't we add a mention of the 2025 United States strikes in Nigeria, which is supposed to have destroyed multiple Lakurawa camps? ~2025-31208-44 (talk) 17:27, 27 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a small paragraph in the "History" section in reference to this. Konomu (talk) 02:53, 1 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
