Kofun systemKeyhole Tomb OrderKeyhole Tomb Order – This archaeological term does not receive much attention in English, but one important thing to note is that the original Japanese term is certainly not the *kofun* system/order, it is the *zenpokoenfun* system/order and I'm not sure why the original creator of the article translated it as such.

In terms of English literature, I have found one book that collects several papers by archaeologists mentioning this topic which uses the term Keyhole Tomb Order ( full Google Scholar search results showing that book and a couple of others).

The results for "Kofun system" on the other hand are fewer, not as compelling, and perhaps not even related (those search results here).

I feel the proposed title is more representive of the English literature (what little there is) and is also a better translation of the original. Erynamrod (talk) 15:55, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
