She was confronted over her description of conservative Supreme Court Justices as evil by U.S. Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana and denied making the statement that she made on her podcast.[1] She is married to MSNBC broadcaster Chris Hayes. Shaw has been criticized for supporting nationwide injunctions against policies enacted by Republican U.S. presidents but opposing them when the courts file injunctions against Democrat policies.[2]
