General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Interesting article which is new enough and sourced. Copyvio returns a score of 2.9% so violation unlikely. Both hooks are interesting and supported by their sources but my personal preference is for ALT1. Spiderpig662 (talk) 22:39, 29 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

After her marriage, [Ida Barber] and her husband moved to Leipzig. There, in the spring of 1877, she founded the Leipzig Housewives' Association, modelled on Lina Morgenstern's Berlin Housewives' Association (1873). By the autumn, the Leipzig association already had over 1,500 members.

Second quote:

In the 1890s, [Ida Barber] began to agitate against the harmful effects of constricting corsets on so many women and promoted the so-called 'reform dress.'
