Government

[edit]

Per MOS:IBP, the template should summarize the key details from the article; the article should remain complete with the template ignored. As such, there shouldn't be details included there that aren't in the article body. This edit should be reverted. Nikkimaria (talk) 23:09, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

These types of details have been a mainstay of many government infoboxes and should remain so. You have no consensus to makes these edits and should have made a talk page before making these edits. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 08:23, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Claiming the country is a dominant-party system should only be included if very important, and that should be supported by body inclusion. I'm wary of including it as a contrasting point to "under a dictatorship", they are both aspects of the same government control. CMD (talk) 09:00, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed - only those key facts as discussed in the article should be added. Nikkimaria (talk) 00:24, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Change of infobox map

[edit]

The capital of Equatorial Guinea has changed to Ciudad de la Paz as of January 2026. This file: File:Equatorial Guinea-CIA WFB Map.png shows Malabo as the capital and Ciudad de la Paz isn’t shown at all. It should be changed to reflect the current situation. The plane photo from 1941 is wrong

[edit]

It looks like the 60s instead. ~2026-28656-37 (talk) 11:46, 12 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The date comes from this Flickr post. CMD (talk) 13:44, 12 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Capital

[edit]

Is the capital Ciudad de la Paz or Malabo? The contents of the article are contradictory. ~2026-36128-77 (talk) 16:41, 21 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Tbhotch (CC BY-SA 4.0) 17:20, 21 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
