Just to clarify, KAYAK isn't an OTA - it's a metasearch site. We help travelers compare options and then send them to the airline, hotel, or booking provider they choose to complete the booking.

So whether support comes from the airline or an OTA depends on who the traveler ultimately books with.

Not a silly question at all - KAYAK Explore is great for this. You can search from your home airport with flexible dates, set your budget and browse a ton of destinations at once to compare options and prices.

We hear you - booking direct has a lot of perks. KAYAK is not quite a fourth party, it's a metasearch site. We help travelers compare a ton of options and find great prices in one place, then we send them to their chosen provider to complete the booking (including direct providers!).

Weird - that might be a bug. Try sorting by lowest to highest first, then apply the"Stay total" filter.

It's natural to want to double check - that's what KAYAK aims to solve. No need for 18 tabs when you can search and compare hundreds of travel sites on our site. So, we're exclusive to our site/app.

You can search by month when making a flight search. We'll show you a calendar of the cheapest departure and return dates. Here are the results for July: https://www.kayak.com/flights/ATL-MNL/2026-07-01/2026-07-31-flexible-calendar-6to8?ucs=1qrh09j&sort=bestflight_a

Here are the results for August: https://www.kayak.com/flights/ATL-MNL/2026-08-01/2026-08-31-flexible-calendar-6to8?ucs=nbpg30&sort=bestflight_a

We don't but I'll take this suggestion to our product team - I've always dreamed of a West Coast Amtrak trip.

Price Alerts are pretty cool - you can set them for flexible dates from any origin and destination. Whenever the price is lower than usual, we'll email you.
