It was a conflict of interest. Aaliyah's uncle managed both R Kelly and Aaliyah. R Kelly's crew enabled him to be a predator for so long and he got away with it because he was the hood piper writing, singing, and generating most of the money for the record label and he abused young girls as a muse to make hits. R Kelly was involved with sexual relations with Aaliyah when she was just a minor and got her pregnant, which was why a marriage license was needed for her to get an abortion so R Kelly doesn't go to jail if he had the marriage paperwork to show up at the clinic. Speaking about this would ruin both Aaliyah's and R Kelly's career so it was a vow of secrecy with the family to move beyond that. Jay-Z wanted to get with Aaliyah but Aaliyah saw Jay-Z do 'best of both worlds' with R Kelly so she declined. Nas knew about Aaliyah's situation when she worked with him in 1999 and he refused to work with R Kelly since 1998. Because there's no statute of limitations for sexual assault, Aaliyah could have spoke up anytime and put R Kelly away as Jane Doe #1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yjM5UwBn_A. Therefore, it was monetarily incentivized by the record industry to do away and silence Aaliyah by her uncle's management team for R Kelly to have less things to worry about and generate more hits for their record label. They sacrificed Aaliyah for R Kelly to monetize R Kelly for 16 more years and when R Kelly finally was 'canceled', that was when her uncle shifted his attention to promote Aaliyah 20 years later to align themselves with female empowerment and cancel culture. It's all monetarily driven by greed on how to milk the fanbase for revenue, and there is a deceptive agenda even after all these years to appropriate themselves to gain revenue.
Jay-Z and Beyonce has nothing to do with Aaliyah's death outside of envy similar to how Jay had nothing to do with Biggie's death. Jay just took advantage when the lane was open to be the king of New York after the throne was vacant and he had a similar agenda for Beyonce to assume Aaliyah's R&B place after Aaliyah passed away - Beyonce was plan B when plan A didn't work. Dame was Aaliyah's boyfriend and Jay realized he couldn't win her over so while Dame was heartbroken and recovering, Jay swooped up Beyonce. Just follow the money and it all stems from her Uncle. Notice how for 20 years, the only album available for streaming was her first album, which was mostly made by R Kelly. If Aaliyah's mom didn't want to hear Aaliyah on the radio after she died, her first album would have also been unavailable. They vaulted Aaliyah's music out of spite because they knew her uncle set up Aaliyah with various nefarious incentives to board that small plane with a phone call saying that Dame was in the ER, then moving the music video shoot in the Bahamas where the US authorities have less power to investigate and regulate available airplanes, Hype Williams (who also was around during Left Eye's death) taking Lenny Kravitz's plane, leaving all the camera equipment for her crew to fly with, and then using a sleeping pill where the team carried her onboard the plane just for them to all die.
Notice how R Kelly made his magnum opus Chocolate Factory in 2003 after Aaliyah died. Kelly did a slew of proactive hits if it wasn't for Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock making fun of R Kelly's behavior in skits and stand up for Kelly to change up his image and do 'you saved me' but with the same 'water droplets' beat. Notice how Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Left Eye, and Static Major ALL died on the 25th of the month symbolizing some occult moon cycle of witchcraft because repetition in song chants in ghostwritten songs go hand-in-hand with spell casting and influence, as stated by John Todd's witchcraft testimonies https://entertainment.blurtit.com/1109714/which-black-celebrities-died-on-the-25th-of-the-month. MJ had so many needle holes in his chest when the doctor was injecting him just to make sure he couldn't be resuscitated where the doctor was actually convicted of murder.. Left Eye died on Christmas Day overseas where things could be set up more easily for it to look like an accident even with camcorder footage. Static Major was mostly set up by Birdman's crew probably because they wanted Lil Wayne to rap and not hop on the autotune trend like Kanye's 808s and Heartbreaks in 2008 or release Rebirth and I am not a human being. Lil Wayne with Static's ghost writing would have made more hits than just Lollipop and it was monetarily incentivized for Wayne to keep rapping to fit a certain Birdman mold and not sing when Lollipop was Wayne's first number 1 hit. Birdman groomed Young Thug who shot up Lil Wayne's tour bus and also paid to kill Souljah Slim because Souljah made himself and BG relevant with their collab album and this was when Wayne was seeking a way out of Cash Money in 2004 where Birdman to this day still wanted Wayne to stay making money for Cash Money records delaying the release of Tha Carter 5.
Aaliyah's discography was vaulted for 20 years is similar to Princess Diana's/JFK death being vaulted for 20 years/70 years, unspoken of just to cover it up with another 'investigative report' hoping people forgot. Timbaland was compensated handsomely to work with Jay-Z, then with Justin Timberlake to recreate the MJ sound for white audiences, and then worked with the gambit of producing for other white pop counterparts of Black artists to keep his mind off Aaliyah. Static Major found some success ghostwriting for Pretty Ricky and his talent wasn't realized fully again until he worked with Lil Wayne. Her uncle got paid 90M because he was the initiator who had prior information to set her up when he filed the court documents that he is not liable 4 days before she passed, which was a giant indicator that it was a premeditated inside job. All Aaliyah's family could do out of spite was to stop her streaming revenue from her compensating uncle when it was supposed to go to the Aaliyah fund. Gladys Knight already said her ex was an evil controlling man. Aaliyah fans are correct to call out "her team" by forging posthumous duets with other big name artists like Drake, Chris Brown, TI, etc because those men like to groom girls, have troubled relationships, and traffic them just like R Kelly - most big name artists are like that because their ego made them self absorbed into accumulating all that power just for control and influence. Aaliyah was known to take relatively unknown diamonds in the rough and work with underground talent when Timbaland, Static, Playa, and Missy were just starting to find her groove and not have it sound mainstream or like everyone else -- everyone else just ended up copying the Aaliyah blueprint years later by emulating or with the help of Missy.
The American record industry have bad deals ever since the slaves were freed and they realized they can take advantage of talented singers, musicians, and songwriters looking for work from New Orleans from the times of Jazz and Blues, where mafia money was funneled into speakeasys for them to perform and sing the tragedy of struggle and relationships instead of singing happy songs to uplift a whole society of people rise up. It was then adopted into Motown practices of taking advantage of Black artists monetarily for them to keep producing hits when they never get to see the lion share of the money reaped from their talents. There's plenty of Black artists who died prematurely, with the likes of Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, etc, when they stepped out of line where they were all deemed an accident or straight homicide into the present days where these occurrences happen every year with the likes of 2Pac, Biggie, Pimp C, Nipsey, etc. The record industry have shady practices stemming from slavery and sharecropping and never deviated from how bad the contracts are when TLC spoke out about how they were broke after going multiplatinum. If Black males are devalued in American society just for the music industry to reap the benefits of black talent and death, then Black females are even more devalued singing and reinforcing misogynistic songs and negative stereotypes just to entertain the male-dominant industry. The minute artists have any monetary control or leverage, they suddenly die to prevent them from being freed of their initial record contracts.2Pac, Biggie, Pimp C, and Nipsey all had big plans to start organizing their own record label with a license to have carte blanche creativity outside the boundaries of the industry and their genre. They figured, if Aaliyah didn't write her songs, Timbaland made the production, and Static did all the ghostsinging that they can have another female singing talent take her place and it would all blow over with the likes of Monica, Mya, Ashanti, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Rhianna, Keri Hilson, and a slew of other other females emulating Aaliyah's branding and sound but they never succeeded or lasted very long (because the audience can distinguish authenticity and real talent) and they bowed out of the industry given how soul sucking it is. Aaliyah was a rare triple threat in music, film, and branding her image for fashion designs and makeup. Since when has anyone tried to dress like any other singer you know outside of a tacky gimmick for halloween? Aaliyah had a style for street fashion that could be worn on normal days and she was your down to earth around-the-way talent who was just blossoming into her hopes and dreams before her life was cut short.
