I was let go from an EA position due to "insubordination". The reality is that I was the fourth EA in three years to be fired for insubordination so we know what is going on here. What do I do moving forward? If I put do not contact on the application, is that an immediate red flag or dismissal? I'm not sure what to do now. Any advice is appreciated.
I was the 4th EA for my boss who had been there 1 year prior to me being hired. I was there for 2years, she for 3 before I was fired. She would write me up and send me home one day, then 3 days later promote, praise me and give me a raise. I was the best EA she ever had when she wanted something. Pitted upper leadership against each other, throw out assignments then forget about them, gossip about staff, called the organization's Daycare workers suicidal, hated women, men could do no wrong. When staff would seem complacent, she would get everyone books on leadership from one of her classes and made staff read them outside of work for chapter discussions that would always be postponed. Reprimand her staff when they picked up their phones during 3 hour meetings when she texted and emailed the whole time. It was a constant mind game.
