For context I'm playing on PC through steam.

Not long ago I played some BO2 zombies with a friend online and every game we played, without fail, the "connection interrupted" pop up would appear on my screen with the little pic of the ethernet being pulled out but I wouldn't actually disconnect.

The text would stay on screen for the entire game and always shows up right as we start, weirdly though, the few times I actually did have connection problems the pop up would go away and then return when my connection went back to normal.

Cause of this I get the feeling something in the game has flipped so now it displays the pop up during stable connection and removed it when its interrupted. I tried reinstalling, verifying the game files and all the regular troubleshooting stuff but nothing changed.

If anyone has any ideas what's causing this and how to fix it I would very much appreciate the help. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, I'mm be checking the comments and will edit the post if it gets solved.
