Because 1KV Catalyst counts as doing "consistent damage" several times per second, it instantly refunds your dodge when using speedloader slacks. This means you can have an entire damage rotation of just golden gun shots and 1KV. Rotation is very unoptimized but still outputs some great numbers!

Well like, I mean they refurbish a lot of stuff when they go back to it right? Like I said in post, make a new campaign to be the onboarding campaign, you could totally rework a lot of edge of fate to make it for people who haven't played destiny before. Plenty of MMO's have gone silent for a year or two and remade a lot of the content in that downtime, and become very successful. FFXIV for example redid the entire game.
