Amazing how dictators can just lie and people 30 years later people will take it as fact just because it’s subversive

“Took over the oil fields” they were given back to Kuwait, the whole war was to kick Iraq out of Kuwait. Are you really going to say invading other countries to steal their oil is ok and fighting against the invaders is “stealing their oil”.

Kuwait was invaded by Iraq to steal their oil.

Well that one was in the future so no, women didn’t bother me there. But man I still hated that trailer for being so ridiculous.

Tim Burton’s movie; while still being PG, is meant to be this.

Criminals tend to be violent, impulsive, tribalistic, and have lots of rules about honor. And by that I don’t mean “honorable thieves” I mean more in the “if some guy disrespects you you’re morally justified in killing him” way.

Well for one, India was also socialist. They also didn’t really start improving until they left it.

And my counterpoint was that the civil war lowered the life expectancy, so when it was over it returned to its “natural state” it woudlve been without the war, and Mao took it as a win.

So when Mao died, and India in the 70s, both of their life expectancies were in their “natural states” without a war.

We’re in r/topcharactertropes I don’t think you can say fiction doesn’t matter and we just shouldn’t think about it too hard.
