Hey all,
Since the start of this year I’ve had issues with small tiny noticeable amounts of blood in my stool. My GP said it was likely fissure/hemmerhoids. I wasn’t convinced bc I have health anxiety despite being a registered nurse!!
I went privately to see a colorectal surgeon who put a camera up and said he saw active bleeding hemmeroid/s. I did a QFit test on the NHS and was called the same week as handing them in for a colonoscopy appointment scheduled for 4 weeks from now. I still have random bits of bleeding, usually it is when I force something to happen a bit more.
Should I be worried that it’s something else, despite the colorectal surgeon actually seeing blood from hemmys?
Hey all,
I’m scheduled for a colonoscopy next month due to bleeding in stool & on tissue. (I’ve been examined by surgeon and have been told I have hemmeroids internally, but the NHS gave me Qfit tests and they must’ve come back positive if this is being arranged!)
I was asked on the phone if I require sedation or not, I literally have no idea? What do you guys think? I’m not fussed I feel, but if there’s a better option lmk!
Hey all,
Hope you’re having a lovely weekend.
I received my QFit tests in the post today (Saturday, UK). It says take at least 4 days apart. However they arrived a few days later than expected and I’m not here at the end of the week and will be gone from here for a while.
If I do one sample tomorrow, is it too soon to do the other on Wednesday? It does say 4 days apart at least, but I’m just wondering how specific / strict they are?
It also says to hand in ASAP, but obviously if I do it tomorrow it wouldn’t be handed in til Monday morning.
Thanks,
Sorry. It might seem like a silly question but I’m only here until Wednesday night.
