Give Actionable Advice

Use Proper Flairs and Tags

We have a range of flairs and tags in our sub to categorize posts. Please use the appropriate one for your post. If any part of your post contains swear word or any other content that would not be safe for younger users, please tag it as NSFW.

Vocal Submissions Should be Directly Uploaded

If you are posting a video of your vocals, please upload it directly. We will not allow video submissions that link to websites outside of Reddit. If you are posting a resource for singers, please feel free to post links with the proper flair on the post.

Post Should Highlight Raw Vocals

Your post should highlight raw vocals. This means that all posters should sing live, a Capella, with the music playing in an earpiece or headphones or with a quiet backing track/instrument to help maintain the key. No postproduction is allowed. If you are sharing a video, please show your upper body and face to allow commenters to help you with your technique. If you are too shy to show your face, then we ask that you please sing a Capella or with an earpiece playing the track for you.

No Self-Promotion

This sub is for learning and improvement. It is not so you can promote your music or your singing journey YouTube series. Any video post that mentions or links to websites or social media accounts outside of Reddit will be removed by the mods. Posts linking to resources for singers must have the proper post flair added to them.

If Someone is Just Good, Just UpVote

Just like short critiques are often not helpful, short compliments are often not as well. If you want to sing someone’s praises, feel free! Just note that it is helpful for people to know what they’re doing right. Do you like their tone, their breathing technique, or their timbre? It helps singers when they know their strengths! If you aren’t sure what about their voice sounds good to you, that’s fine! Just leave an updoot and let others in the community get specific.
