Welcome to the Rewatch Wiki!
A rewatch is like a book club, a way for the community to come together and discuss non-airing anime in a format similar to episode threads for currently airing shows, usually one episode a day or in small batches so viewers can focus on discussing the events as they go through the anime rather than the series as a whole in a single thread. They're a great way for new viewers to experience a series as well as any spoilers for later in a series are generally not allowed.
See one that you want to join as a participant? There's no formal process, hop into an ongoing rewatch thread through the links below or searching for the Rewatch flair and start discussing the series. Be aware that discussing events beyond the current episodes of a rewatch usually isn't allowed without spoiler tags.
Any user is welcome to host a rewatch, though this guide to hosting is strongly recommended reading first. The process for successful rewatches is regularly something like this:
Check to see if there's already been a recent rewatch of the same anime! It's generally recommended to wait at least a year between rewatches so more people will be willing to join another one.
A user decides that they want to host a rewatch for an anime and makes an interest thread looking for participants, usually including some information about the anime and a proposed schedule, including the start date and time for threads.
If enough people want to participate, the host then creates an announcement thread with the agreed-upon schedule. At that point the rewatch gets added to this wiki page under the Upcoming section.
Following the schedule, the host creates threads for discussing episodes and participants contribute their viewpoints in the comments.
Once the rewatch is finished it's added to the archive in this wiki for future reference.
Here we will be archiving all ongoing, upcoming or finished rewatches.
- Anime names for Ongoing or Upcoming rewatches will usually link to the announcement or schedule.
- Anime names for Completed rewatches link to an archive of every discussion thread for the rewatch (no spoilers on that page).
- Date format is YYYY/MM/DD
