Toxic or Inappropriate Behavior (Trolling/Gatekeeping/Baiting/Flaming/Brigading/Raiding)

Be nice, respect other users in the subreddit. No picking fights, no personal attacks, no insults, no baiting, no inappropriate remarks, and no inflammatory comments or posts. Report someone being problematic instead of engaging with them.

This should be obvious but don't use slurs or be a bigot.

Don't be creepy towards real life people.

Having a different opinion is no excuse for being rude. Criticism on a topic should not be done in a hateful manner.

Spoilers

Discussions and posts related to new shows are regarded as spoilers until 24hrs after release.

Mark all comments and threads that contain spoilers.

Do not put spoilers in titles. But do indicate what is being spoiled so people know what the spoiler mark is for (Eg. 'Ultraman Arc movie spoilers', 'Next week's episode spoilers', etc)

Rumors/leaks for upcoming content should still be regarded as spoilers. All Merchandise such as the artwork, toys, and collectibles are also considered spoilers.

Sources/Credit

Always credit fanarts that isn't yours. Provide a link back to the artists' account. Linking to sites (Pinterest, FB etc. where it's obviously not the OP) is NOT crediting the artist. Failure to link back to OP, and misuse of flair will have the post removed.

Provide official sources for any news articles.

Piracy

Please support Tsuburaya production and their official releases.

Spamming

What counts as spam falls under a moderator's discretion. A typical example is repeatedly posting the same reaction image consecutively.

Low-Effort Content/ Repetitiveness

Please try your best to make posts that will spark discussion! Also create descriptive post titles.

Memes that rely entirely on comments such as "caption this" or "wrong answers only" posts will be removed. This is to discourage lazy titles and/or posts.

Tierlists are allowed but should be unique and not an overly common topic (like series or opening tierlists).

Posting AI generated content as your "creation" is strictly not allowed on this subreddit.

AI-generated content is not allowed.

AI-generated content such as images, songs, or videos are strictly not allowed in this subreddit.

VS Battles

When discussing hypothetical Versus Battles or the like, sufficient context must be provided. Moreover, it is important that these kinds of topics do not become overtly toxic.

Legendary ultras like King, Noa and Legend are not allowed due to how vague their powers are. The same goes for Kaiju that are meant to be op such as IF.

Please come up with actual interesting matchups and not one that is either an unfair matchup or too vague on either sides (such as a random MOTW fighting another MOTW).

Reposting

Try and check if your post has recently been shared before submitting. Reposts in a new context are allowed.

Ban Evasion

If you have been banned, make a ban appeal. Because if you rejoin with a fake account, all of your accounts may be banned from reddit altogether. We also have prevention measures against ban evaders.

Relevance

Don't go off topic on this subreddit.

Follow NSFW Guidelines

Content depicting explicit sexual acts or pornographic/fetish material are strictly not allowed.

Art that is risque in design are allowed but must use the NSFW tag. (Ex: characters in swimsuits, tight clothing, bunny suits etc)

Art that simply portray ultrawomen and anime girls do not fall under this rule unless they fall under the first two categories.

Jokes regarding mild nsfw content is allowed but remember to be civil and not excessive or creepy.

Reddit Sitewide Rules

Any thread which violates reddit's site-wide rules or invokes a witch-hunt is not allowed in r/Ultraman.

Advertising

No NFTs whatsoever. Please don't promote yourself without messaging the mod team beforehand, this is to avoid you being mistaken for a bot.

Modmail/Report

Enforcement of the rules should be left to the interpretation of the moderators of r/Ultraman.

Don't start unnecessary discussions about obvious rule violations.
Don't send spam messages.
Report comments that may offend you.

If you want to appeal your ban, be nice and give us an understandable reason.

Reporting posts and comments that obviously don't violate any rule can result in a reddit-wide ban.
