I’m watching the shield for my first time learning it was sutters early work. I’ve watched sons like 6 times so I’m really loving it on my first watch. SUTTER was a STUD as that Armenian Jesus. Otto but 15 years younger 🤣

So is the Sheriff's name Sanwa? Or are they just saying San Juan as in San Joaquin County?

This is something that's been driving me crazy for a while. Often in the show they will be saying Sanwa Sheriff, and if you have subtitles on it's clearly a proper noun, but to me it doesn't really make sense.

I feel like they're just saying San Juan sheriff as in San Joaquin county sheriff and they don't really annunciate correctly and they just shortened San Juan. That's what makes the most sense to me but the subtitles are throwing me off because they spell it Sanwa like a proper noun

Or is the actual sheriff of San Joaquin county just so happens to be named Sanwa?

The wiki says that the sheriff is unnamed
