r/SeattleKraken Rules

All submissions must be directly related to the Seattle Kraken.

Any posts not related in any way to the Seattle Kraken will be removed at moderator discretion. Repeatedly posting irrelevant items may lead to a ban.

Racist, ethnic, sexist or homophobic slurs/remarks of any kind will not be tolerated.

Rule 2 applies the same standard to comments and posts regardless of the gender or other status of both the person making the comment and the person the comment is directed towards. More info.

We also do not allow the use of "krakhead" or "krakhouse" as we will not be party to making a joke of real trauma in many people's lives.

Any remarks with these items in it will lead to a ban.

Attacking or harassing other users will not be tolerated.

Treat other users on here the way you would want to be treated. Failure to treat other users with respect may result in a ban. If you see someone being attacking another user or you feel like you are getting attacked just report the offending comment. Generally speaking, nothing good ever comes from engaging with hostile users.

Duplicate, low-effort, troll, clickbait or misleading posts may be removed at moderator discretion.

Some things that fit this category are posts that:

Can easily be answered with a Google Search.
Have already been covered by a recent post in the subreddit or in the FAQ.
Are unsourced speculation (EX: posting news without a source).
Are a low resolution video or image.
Violate Rule 6 on Post Titles.
Posts that fit one or more of these qualifiers may be better suited for the daily thread which can be found stickied at the top of the sub each day.

Post Titles must be Descriptive and High Quality. Violating posts may be removed.

Posts with sensationalized, misleading, ambiguous, non-descriptive, or low-effort titles may be removed. Post titles, especially if linking to an article or news, must clearly summarize why it is relevant to the Kraken to inform readers. Generally, use the article title. In cases where the title isn't clear on why it is relevant to the Kraken, modify it to make it clear. For example: turn "10 Underrated Defensemen in the NHL" to "10 Underrated Defensemen in the NHL - Vince Dunn rated #9".

Selling of merchandise is not permitted. Ticket sales are allowed only in ticket megathread.

Any selling of merchandise will not be permitted on the sub, including affiliate links.

No Trolling Opponent's Subreddits

On game days it can be fun to talk with fans of another team. This subreddit always welcomes any fans to come here to talk about a game. However, we do not allow fans of other teams to come here and troll. Along with this, we do not allow r/SeattleKraken users to troll in an opponents subreddit. Failure to follow this rule will lead to a ban.

Links to twitter.com or x.com are not permitted in r/SeattleKraken post or comments, including xcancel. You may post Kraken related content from Twitter taking a screenshot of the Twitter post and making an image post. If the content is a longer text chain is too big for a single screenshot, you can also copy-paste the text into a comment or the body of the post along with the screenshot.
