Watching the transactions today, and reading all the fans screaming "do something" - I'm reminded of Snow's ill-fated signing of Andrew Ladd (which, from what I've read, was motivated by ownership's impatience). Okposo had just left for Buffalo, other supposedly high caliber players (like Loui Eriksson) were getting snapped up right and left, and it looked like the Isles were just going to tread water. So, Snow gave into the pressure and made the move he still had available - the disastrous signing of Ladd. In retrospect, the best move that day would have been to let other GMs overspend, say goodbye to Kyle Okpsoso, and not do anything else. Sometimes the best move is to not move. Far be it from me to defend Darche (who, up to now, I've been mostly unimpressed by). However, in my opinion, the best move right now is to be patient. Use to the pick, make some conservative signings on July 1, and build around the kids.
