NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 online servers will be permanently shut down on August 20, 2026.

After that date, you will no longer be able to play multiplayer or access any features that require an online connection. Offline modes such as Exhibition, Exhibition 3 PT Contest, NBA Season, and Court Editor will remain available.

We thank you for your support of NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 and hope you continue to enjoy NBA 2K.

Hello, I just snagged a copy of NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 on eBay sealed for $16 for the Xbox One. Is anyone still playing this game anymore? I used to grind NBA 2K Playgrounds 1&2 on the Nintendo Switch and the game was insanely fun. I'm just wondering if I wasted my money.

Follow reddiquette

Reddiquette is treated as a Rule here. You are entitled to your opinion but derogatory comments, insults, and personal attacks are not allowed towards others. This includes both your fellow users and 2K staff.

Contributions are judged individually. For example, a user personally attacking you does not excuse you doing the same in return. Exceptions made in extreme cases.

Avoid making reposts

Look through the 'New' feed and use the search bar before posting. Redundant posts add nothing new to previous discussion.

That said, sometimes bad timing can cause an interesting post to fail to get noticed. Feel free to post something again if you feel that the earlier posting didn't get the attention it deserved and you think you can do better.

The same content from a different source is still a repost.

Do not only self-promote

Self-promotion includes: YouTube channels/videos, a website/blog, a Twitter account, etc. Promotion of streams is not allowed.

Requirements to self-promote: Message the mods beforehand. Account must be 3+ months old, have active and non-promotional contributions to r/NBAPlaygrounds, and have >100 post karma.

Exceptions at mod's discretion. If it is unclear whether content belongs to you, mods will judge based on evidence at hand.

Do not buy/sell/trade/wager/beg

Buying/Selling/Trading/Wagering/Begging of any kind is prohibited.

Discussion on this topic is also not allowed.

If you are hosting a giveaway, there cannot be a monetary obligation to enter the giveaway.

Follow post title guidelines

Make clear post titles that reflect the post's content, especially if you are asking for help. Don't put the entire body of your post in the title if it is extremely long.

Do not write titles in ALL CAPS. Do not add unnecessary expletives, emojis, or attention-grabbing punctuation.

Keep your submission titles factual and opinion free. Share your thoughts in the comment section.

Do not editorialize or sensationalize your submission title.

Do not make low-quality posts or rant posts

Posts are determined to be low-quality or ranty by mod team's best judgement. Factors considered include excessive expletives, whiny rants, use of memes, etc.

Constructive criticism is perfectly fine. If a post/comment is one the mod team could professionally forward to NBA2K producers/devs, that is a good indicator.
