Be kind (and rewind)

Differences in opinion are okay. Starting a flame war because someone likes a cartoon in a different way than you is not. Try to be understanding of other opinions rather than attacking someone for their own. Remember the human, and think before you comment.

Absolutely no hate-speech. If you use homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, racist, sexist, ableist, or other derogatory terms you're out. This includes dogwhistles like complaining about "woke" cartoons.

Stay on Topic

For something to be considered on topic, it must have been released in-between 1990-1999, or adjacent to something released in those years. A cartoon that began airing in the 80s and had a decent handful of episodes in the 90s, an animated movie released in the 90s, a revival/reboot/sequel to a property born in the 90s are all fair game.

Sources are vital information for everyday life.

If you post a comic panel, please include the title (and preferably the issue number). If you post a clip or screengrab, please reference the show or movie it's from in your title (episode name as well if possible), and for fan art please credit the artist and link back to them if possible.

No NSFW Content

Unless it's from an official source (such as the uncensored Ren and Stimpy show, Bruce Timm's sketches, etc.). Your rule 34 fan art isn't okay. From now on this will be ban worthy.

Don't be a Don Karnage.

Do not ask for pirated material. Do not post links to piracy websites. Do not submit content that displays a link or watermark of a piracy website. Do not post bootlegged material, including (but not limited to) cam rips of theatre screenings or clips that are not transformative in nature hosted on unofficial outlets.

If you are self promoting, please be clear about your affiliation with the content you're posting. If you're not an active member of the community in other ways, don't expect it to stay. While we understand the hard work it takes to make something original, Reddit's official guidelines cap self-promotion at roughly 10% of a user's content. If you submit nothing but your own links, sharing them on every subreddit that fits, it is typically considered to be spam.

No "who remembers?" type posts.

Instead of asking "who remembers?", or simply posting an image of the show's logo/stock images/DVD cover/etc. with nothing but the show's name as the post title, talk about the show. If you want to talk about the show but don't know how, try talking about a favorite scene or sharing a favorite memory about it. Repeat offenders will be banned.
