Add uw-isu to RedWarn and Ultraviolet

{{uw-isu}} ("implies shared use") is a username warning similar in concept to {{uw-username-coi}}, but without the COI part. It is pretty useful when the generic username template isn't specific enough, but the account hasn't made explicit COI edits. Would it be possible to add it to RedWarn, with the following JSON code block?

	"sharedUsername": {
		"name": "Username may imply shared use",
		"category": "Policy Violation Warnings",
		"template": "uw-isu",
		"warningLevels": [
			6
		],
		"note": "Username warnings should not be added for blatant violations. In these cases, under the More Options menu, click Report user to UAA to report the username to the admins."
	},

The Ultraviolet configuration page isn't template-protected (and the code block would be slightly different), but I prefer to have the go-ahead to make sure there isn't any unforeseen issue. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 17:35, 31 July 2025 (UTC)

@Pppery Thanks! Sorry for the bother, but would it be possible to move it next to the other username policy warnings? Right now, it is creating a second "Policy Violation Warnings" header at the very end, which is a bit confusing. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 09:34, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
That seems like a bug in RedWarn to me; JSON objects should be an unordered data structure. Anyway, fixed. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:11, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Race condition in reporting a page to RfPP resulting in duplicate?

Hi, Yesterday, I made a report at RfPP and @Nixleovel made another report for the same page less than a minute after me using UV, which resulted in duplicate reports on RfPP for the page.

I checked with them and they said that they didn't get a warning by UV about the duplicate conflict, so figured I'd let you know in case there's room for improvement to the reporting side in UV. See User_talk:Nixleovel#Did_Ultraviolet_not_alert_you_that_the_page_was_already_listed_at_RfPP? for the details.

Since there was just 26 seconds apart between my report went in at 05:26:37 (using Twinkle) just a minute (or technically 26 seconds) before theirs at 05:27:03 (using UV), it might be just a rare occurrence race-condition, but I figured I'd let you know in any case to decide for yourself if you want to make the script more resilient to avoid duplicate reports or if race-race condition of two reports within a few seconds is ok within the margin of error as a probably rare thing. Thanks @Raladic! I agree, does seem to me like a TOCTOU race condition in UV. An extra check for these types of reports would probably be acceptable overhead. ―sportzpikachu my talkcontribs 17:53, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Template announcement: uw-citevar

Announcing new, single-level notice {{uw-citevar}}. I have added a commented out link to RedWarn banner in the template. If you decide to include it in the installation, please uncomment the link, or if you wish, ping me and I'll do it. (Let me know if it has a new name in that case.). Bug that requires to desinstall RedWarn

After the installation or Redwarn, I was unable to scroll Wikipedia pages, including RedWarn pages. In particular, I did not have access to the uninstall button, and I had to revert your edit of User:D.Lazard/common.js manually (fortunately, the rollback button is at the top of the page and does not requires a scroll).

I use Safari under IOS 10. D.Lazard (talk) 10:13, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
