    Use of cyclingresult templates

    [edit]

Hello Project Cycling, for a while now I have been updating various cycle race articles to use the {{cyclingresult start}}, {{cyclingresult}} and {{cyclingresult end}} templates. I have been doing this especially for the General, Points, Mountains, Young rider, and Team final classifications of multi-day races, as these section are largely created with native Wikipedia table syntax. I have also added some documentation here to increase their visibility. However, a number of my edits have been reverted by one editor in particular, @Martijnvdam97, without any edit summary provided to explain these changes. I had left a message on their talk page but got a rather bland response. I then continued my changes. Then this user reverted yet another change I made to 2026 Tour de Romandie. I left a second message on their talk page. Only a few minutes later, they then removed this entire section, with no response given. I'm trying to follow the advice given at WP:CONTENTDISPUTE as best I can to get this issue resolved. If anyone can comment or help, that would be much appreciated. If there is any other action I can take, please let me know. Finally, if there are any actual problems with these templates, that would also be good to mention. Thanks, Kiwipete (talk) 22:56, 4 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, @Martijnvdam97 has made an edit with a very unsatisfactory edit summary "Fixed results table". I've had no message from him indicating what was broken. At the same time, he removed a couple of citations. Martijnvdam97, would you care to reply here? Kiwipete (talk) 19:11, 31 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
