| This page in a nutshell: You do not need to make an article of your local mall "perfect" just because it is your local mall. |

You may be thinking as a local that for a shopping mall article you love that has its placement on Wikipedia, you should add a directory to it and promotional language! Well, go ahead! Research every tenant the shopping mall features and then put it in a "Stores" list, and then call the mall upscale and premier!
What will happen
[edit]So, you've added a store list and promotional language? Well, here's what will happen:
- 1. You will be reverted by someone, especially someone in the WikiProject Shopping Centers community for WP:TENANTS, WP:PROMO and WP:NOTDIRECTORY.
And what's your next step? Creating a list of anchor tenants AND where they are! What will happen after that?
- 2. You will be instantly warned for providing original research on the platform.
- 3. Congratulations, you revert that removal of your store list and promotional list to continue providing a laundry list that does not help readers any higher than just finding a store.
- 4. You will get a strict message on your talk page with a red warning icon telling you that this platform is not a PR for Simon Property Group or Brookfield Properties. It will also call your original research disruptive. If you continue to add lists and promotional language removed, you have successfully succeeded on creating Edit War of the Dead Malls!
- And your reward? Being sent straight to the administration's board.
- 5. You have been successfully blocked for having great knowledge of your local shopping center! Baby Globe loves how you're adding information only the mall's official website has! You could give Namdar Realty Group a run for their money!
Seriously, though...
[edit]Do not add directories or make the mall article sound like a Grokipedia article. It is considered original research, violates WP:PROMO and WP:NOTDIRECTORY, and, definitely do not edit war.
