User talk:Werter1995
Hello! I noted your corrections on the sources in this article, and in addition to saying thank you for what you have already done, I wanted to ask if you would do more?!
I would like to take this article to FA status, and in order to do that, every source needs to be fully accurate. It took me a year to find them in the first place and it's a lot for one person to recheck alone. I could really use the help. I would be grateful! Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:00, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello. Yes, I plan to finish the design of the sources, but at the moment I’m going to go to bed;) I live in the UTC+4 time zone. As soon as I wake up and get to the computer, I’ll continue. — Werter1995 (talk) 19:33, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- Bless you! I have sent you a gazillion thank you's already, and it's not enough! I can't possibly thank you enough! I am so overwhelmingly grateful for all you have done. However do you find these? I would like to know how to do what you have done here. All I know to do is slog through them one by one, and since there are over 600, that's a long slog.
- I do have one other question in addition to how you work your magic. This Dif [[1]] has Shlomo Lambroza showing up in red, which I think means there is no link, am I correct? I didn't do anything because I wasn't sure, but does that mean that link should be removed?
- So I am asleep while you are awake, but that just means I get to wake up to wonderful surprises! That could not be better! This is truly amazing. Thank you. Jenhawk777 (talk) 21:10, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- I type the person's name into Google search and see if there are any relevant links. Regarding Shlomo Lambroza, see WP:REDLINKS, he is a notability author, and redlink is desirable. — Werter1995 (talk) 07:14, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
- One at a time then. WOW. I don't know exactly how it has happened, then, that we have ended up with red links - meaning those pages do not exist. I have had to remove them, but there were only about 6, so no big deal. I still think that this is a great addition that I am genuinely grateful for. Is it possible they are on other WP's not the English WP? That would have to be designated. Whatever happened with those few, this is great work. I never would have done this - so I'm glad you did! Thank you! Jenhawk777 (talk) 23:23, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
- No red links allowed in an FA. Jenhawk777 (talk) 23:24, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
- This is very strange... Werter1995 (talk) 03:18, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Werter1995: @Jenhawk777: That's not actually true. Per WP:REDDEAL, it's general policy not to remove redlinks without specific cause; if a FAC reviewer gets stinky about it, they're doing it outside of the FA criteria. Generalissima (talk) 06:06, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- The one time I applied for an FA, a reviewer removed them, and told me it is an "informal policy" because they just don't look professional and that's what FA has to look like. Jenhawk777 (talk) 08:06, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- Argh. That's always irritating when reviewers throw in their personal preferences. The only time they're not kosher for FAC is in the lede. Generalissima (talk) 20:24, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

- No, these articles are not available in other language versions; I searched and provided most of these links. — Werter1995 (talk) 03:20, 14 January 2024 (UTC)

Draft:Maison+
[edit]Hi, why did you submit Draft:Maison+ directly after draftification when it was clearly going to be declined for the same reason? The only time I'm aware this is valid is if it is for COI concerns. Did you mean just to add the template so the author could submit if they improved the article? If so then you should use {{subst:AfC draft|username}} or you could use {{draft}}. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:36, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
- You may like to look at using User:MPGuy2824/MoveToDraft as that will do the tagging and notifications for you. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:52, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I've noticed the issue at Tracy Wiles regarding the photograph. I'm not sure it's helpful to wheel war with an article subject with no experience of Wikipedia without at least attempting to explain to them how they can replace the image, so I've attempted to communicate with some advice on their talk page. It seems apparent the article subject feels strongly about the image so if they are willing to offer a replacement of suitable quality perhaps it could be used? I certainly know that I personally wouldn't want to represented online by an image I dislike so from their point of view I can imagine the frustration. KaisaL (talk) 14:00, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

(Boilerplate above) Hope the above doesn't come across as too brusque. I think this category is a bad idea, though, and given how it's used so far, it should theoretically apply to most games in general, which means it isn't defining. SnowFire (talk) 04:28, 18 August 2025 (UTC)

— Werter1995 (talk) 19:03, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

Source-text integrity
[edit]Just because a source uses the word "accelerationist" in the same paper where it names the person does not mean that person was motivated to do the crime by accelerationism. It does not mean that you can extrapolate neo-Nazi from that, or because there was a categorization chart you can extrapolate that to motives. Unless the source says the motive was accelerationism, not that they held similar ideas, you cannot say the motive was accelerationism! That is synth. And we shouldn't be adding information only to the infobox, you need to add it to the body of the article first. PARAKANYAA (talk) 15:17, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, i get it. — Werter1995 (talk) 15:18, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
- I like your edits, but these kinds of terrorism articles tend to accumulate very complex cross categorizations of motives over time which are ultimately not very well sourced or reflected by the body unless we are careful about it. But, I do want to say thank you for all the work you do. PARAKANYAA (talk) 15:21, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
