Wikilove for the Weather Community
[edit]
Smile at others by adding {{subst:Smile}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
- The past week has been a difficult week for those involved in the weather community, with all the changes and firings in NOAA and the National Weather Service; and everything involved with NOAA under the second presidency of Donald Trump (new article for all of these events). Hopefully your day can get a little better from this smile! The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 20:50, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

Cyclone Honde Mozambique source
[edit]Hello. Here you wrote that the precursor to Honde brought rain to Mozambique. Is there a source for this? I'm trying to expand this article and I want to add Honde if I can. Nibnab43637 (talk) 20:45, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi there, thanks for the message. Having a look at it now, although the precursor of Honde did bring showers to SA... Once the system was named, it was not affecting SA in an significant enough way to be included on your page 'Tropical cyclones affecting/impacting SA'
- Sorry for any confusion, hope that clears it up. WeatherFollower (talk) 22:54, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
- It seems like precursors of storms are allowed to be included, alongside the remnants of storms. Those tropical cyclones did affect Southern Africa, just not as one. So is there a source for Honde? You seem not 100% sure of this, so I worry that this is original research, and I'd have to remove it if it is. Nibnab43637 (talk) 21:32, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
- I agree, remove it for now. I think more research has to be done into this to determine if Honde had any affect. Better safe than sorry. WeatherFollower (talk) 14:31, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:WeatherFollower
[edit]
A tag has been placed on your user page, User:WeatherFollower, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, JCGlobe2003, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as JCWX2003 (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections before editing further. Thank you. Zinnober9 (talk) 15:19, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
- I only use this account to edit. I only made the other account (JCWX2003) because I did not know how to sort out my other account as I previously had a name that did not comply with the guidelines.
- As Wikipedia does not allow deletion of account, I cannot delete the account 'JCWX2003'. I only operate on this account, there's not much else I can do, but ignore the account I wish to not use. I hope this is enough to 'disclose' any issues.
- Regards, JCGlobe2003 (talk) 15:55, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
