30.06 Springfield

[edit]

Re: this edit, where in the PDF does it state that the diameter of the bullet is .308? I see numerous references to the ".308 Winchester", but none to the 30.06 Springfield having a diameter of .308. We shouldn't assume the reader is going to find exactly what you want to point out in a 23-page PDF document. If you are going to offer this, I'd suggest a full citation using the {{cite web}} template with the page= and quote= parameters. General Ization Talk 22:01, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Figure 2 and Figure 4 it references a .308" diameter bullet. How would I add the parameters you are suggesting? WarRaven (talk) 23:36, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Click on the words citation and cite web in my previous comment for instructions on using the {{cite web}} template. General Ization Talk 01:44, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Figure 4 doesn't say that all .30-06 bullets have a diameter of 0.308. It says it depicts a variety of .30-06 bullets that do. That is a significant difference in meaning. Likewise Figure 2 says it shows the muzzle velocities of "an assortment of 0.308 diameter bullets." That is also not a statement that all .30-06 bullets have a diameter of 0.308. Based on this, the PDF cannot serve as a source for the content where you invoked it. General Ization Talk 01:49, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
