Disambiguation link notification for August 28
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jo Champa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sean Farrell. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:11, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
Callie Thorne edit
[edit]I have reverted your addition of "born on November 20, 1969, according to her imdb posting" to Callie Thorne. IMDb is not a reliable source. Please see WP:IMDB for comments on that topic. You might also want to read WP:USERGENERATED to see names of other sources that are similarly unreliable. Eddie Blick (talk) 00:59, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Teblick An unreliable source is better than no source, which is the current state. Saying a celebrity is somewhere between birth and death is not why people come here. Usnerd2000 (talk) 03:20, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Your comment, "An unreliable source is better than no source" contradicts the Wikipedia:Verifiability policy, which says (in part), "In the English Wikipedia, verifiability means other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source."
- Because Callie Thorne, as you wrote, "is somewhere between birth and death", WP:BLPPRIVACY also applies. It says (in part), "Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources ..." That policy prohibits inclusion of a date of birth that is unsourced or cited to an unreliable source such as IMDb. Eddie Blick (talk) 15:32, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Nadia Ali (actress), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. TylerBurden (talk) 18:32, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- @TylerBurden The change I made was common knowledge and required no citation. Usnerd2000 (talk) 00:46, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Absolutely not, you violated WP:BLP. If you continue to make unreferenced edits to articles about living people, which seems to be a continuous trend for you, you will likely be blocked. TylerBurden (talk) 19:21, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I'm DaniloDaysOfOurLives. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Allison Lanier, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 19:07, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
Stop marking all of your edits as minor. Most of them are not minor.
[edit]
Hi Usnerd2000! I noticed that you recently made an edit and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 17:28, 21 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Annette Haven has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 01:55, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Melissa Benoist, you may be blocked from editing. ☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 21:40, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Loriendrew There was nothing incorrect about that information. Usnerd2000 (talk) 08:33, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
- You continue to make unreferenced/unsourced additions to WP:BLP articles, and you have been warned many times. There is no sourcing Benoist had any roles in CSI, and the character you listed was portrayed by another actress.--☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 14:24, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
- She was a cast member on that show for several years and listed as a star the whole time. She played a CSI and the daughter of the CSI Boss! Usnerd2000 (talk) 19:55, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Loriendrew There was nothing incorrect. She was identified as a main cast member for several years as a CSI and the daughter of the CSI Boss. Usnerd2000 (talk) 19:57, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
- You seem to be confusing Melissa Benoist with Elisabeth Harnois.--☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 20:04, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Kelsey Asbille has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. Morbidthoughts (talk) 21:19, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
Do not mark your edits with inappropriate edit summaries, as you did at Don Stannard. Your edits have been reverted or removed as unconstructive, and the use of deceptive or inappropriate edit summaries is considered disruptive editing; if you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. ☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 01:33, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to living or recently deceased subjects of biographical content on Wikipedia articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
