Hi to any friends
[edit]Something made me think about Wikipedia tonight and all the friends I made here over the years. You all are special people who made a great impact on my life. Unfortunately, I don't have nearly enough time to devote to this wonderful project anymore, so I've been MIA for so long, but hopefully one day that will change. Wishing all of you the best :) TonyBallioni (talk) 06:43, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- Nice to hear from you, Tony! Bishonen | tålk 17:58, 26 May 2026 (UTC).
- Was that "something" bourbon? It can make one a bit maudlin. We miss you too Mr. Tony Baloney, come back soon :) -- Ponyobons mots 18:19, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

@Bishonen and Ponyo: two names I’m happy to see. Not sure how around I’ll be, but at least I’m logged in on my phone now to correct errors in articles I’m reading for personal reasons. Also this new reply feature is weird. I much prefer editing the source. Bah humbug. TonyBallioni (talk) 23:30, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
- Things have been especially interesting lately. There are currently 834 signatures at Wikipedia:Wiki Workers United solidarity. The background is that the WMF recently disbanded a group of developers who focused on items wanted by the community. The WMF has issued buzzword-bingo statements explaining their wisdom. For a short read of the latest, see rebuttal of donation cancellation. Re the reply feature, I don't see that. I think it is a preference under Editing. Johnuniq (talk) 01:50, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- Good to see old names :) Plan on staying out of that type of thing for now; my reason for RfA 8(!) years ago was primarily revdel and helping with perms. Revdel was the feature I used the most in my normal editing because it came up fairly frequently in main space, and figured it would be useful to have it and protection back. I’ll look at my settings to see how to get rid of the reply thing. TonyBallioni (talk) 02:03, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- Good plan to stay out of it. I was just letting you know what you're missing :( Johnuniq (talk) 04:36, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

- Great to see you back, even for little stuff. :) -- Euryalus (talk) 03:01, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- TonyBallioni? Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time, a long time... also hey now, this "new" reply tool is one of the greatest improvements we've ever made to the interface, and I will not let slander of it go unanswered!! Mz7 (talk) 07:55, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

- Nice to see you back even on a limited basis. I get the real world distractions. This last 12 months has been rough for me on a number of levels. We all do what we can. -Ad Orientem (talk) 04:23, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
- Wait – you have FRIENDS?!?!? We gave you the mop back but nobody said anything about friends, bub! *prepares Arbcom motion to address this urgent sitewide problem with, I dunno, a Reuben sandwich and a Ouija board* Katietalk 00:18, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- It is great to see your name on my watchlist again. We all have real world obligations and goings-on but it is nice to see editors come back like yourself Tony. -- LuK3 (Talk) 19:57, 2 June 2026 (UTC)

- Hi Tony, pleased to see you back, but pleasantly too busy to say so sooner - see music! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:13, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Tony,
- I just saw your post on Drmies's User talk page and found out you were back. Welcome back! You've been missed. I hope all is relatively well for you and yours. My off-line world right now is going through some stressful events but they should be resolved, one way or another, by the end of June. Just wanted to say that it's good to see you. Take care, Liz Read! Talk! 00:25, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
- It's good to see you again, Tony! Welcome back. Hopeful to see you around continuing in future. You know where to find me if you need anything.
