[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tedallen.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShadowHalo 05:10, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Georgia Moffett

[edit]

Hi, I reverted your unexplained revert of the "never spoken to press" lines in Georgia Moffett - the lines are unsupported opinions and you need to give sourced reasons for including them. You also need to give reasons for edit changes. Please discuss at the talk page if you disagree. Thanks. Jamesinderbyshire (talk) 07:49, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I reversed your "correction" of my correction regarding Georgia Moffett's son's name as a) the birth record on Ancestry states that his name was recorded as Ty and b) my brother is a close friend of Georgia and has informed me that the much-reported name Tyler is incorrect. My apologies for not adding a source the first time I made the change. Gwdihŵ (talk) 21:29, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Playhouse Presents, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tom Jones (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Moffett name

[edit]

What's your source for the assertion that his name is "Tyler"? The only source that's been in the article (until recently) has it as "Ty". Thanks.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 22:11, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Moffett and her parents have given many dozens (if not hundreds) of print and TV interviews stating that the child's name is Tyler, it's always, always been reported as Tyler, everywhere. It's never been listed as Ty before. This is literally the first time anyone's suggested that his name is not Tyler. Just do a Google search or look at the Daily Mail site or her approved fansite, every single article and website says Tyler. The Ancestry.com link states that a Ty Peter Moffett or Ty Peter Martin-Moffett (both names are listed on the site) was born in Hammersmith in May 2002, but Georgia's son was born in March, and where does 'Martin-Moffett' come from? I have heard through my own connections that he has always gone by Ty and that she may have changed his name legally to Ty when she changed his surname by deed poll last year, but there seems no doubt that his legal birth name is Tyler. This is utterly bizarre. Unfortunately Nexis is down right now or I'd post a bunch of articles. Starhunterfan (talk) 22:20, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There are no records for a Tyler Moffett in the right place at the right time. There are some in 2003, but they're in Lancashire. As for the date of birth, Ancestry only states the date of registration of the birth, which can be up to six weeks later (this is the legal limit, unless one wants to pay a fine). The birth of my own great-grandfather, Sydney S Evans, was registered six weeks after the actual event. As for "Martin-Moffett", all I can say is that this *may* indicate the surname of Ty's natural father, since everything else matches the other record. I would like to see the articles mentioned to see if Georgia unequivocally states what her son's name is, or whether it's something that could have been changed or assumed by the writer of the article. If you could post some links, I'd appreciate that. What I will say is that my source is *very* close to Georgia herself, and has stated to me that it was stated to him, by her, that the short form of her son's name is the one he was registered with. I'd rather not divulge too much out of a desire to protect those involved - I just wanted to set the record straight. Gwdihŵ (talk) 00:30, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Morgan Lloyd Malcom.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Morgan Lloyd Malcom.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Vandalism

[edit]

Hey, I hope you are doing well. Could you please not say "Reverted vandalism" unless you are actually reverting vandalism, as you did at Ashling O'Shea? I removed the content that the IP added as the sources weren't reliable and it seemed to be a BLP issue, as it was tagged in the edit summary. Removal a source for BLPs with explanation is not vandalism – you may disagree, but vandalism isn't the right word in this case DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 01:45, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Remove any reference to the fact an openly queer actor played a lesbian character in a play written by an openly queer female writer (with three citations to the official site and various interviews) is fairly blatant homophobic censorship. If you had a problem with the cites you could easily have tagged them as needing to be replaced, or found new cites yourself; not simply censored any mention of the play entirely. Starhunterfan (talk) 12:33, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry, but that is completely untrue. I am openly gay myself and if you read the page I have talked about her queer identity in the page itself - in the quote, in her Hollyoaks role, in the personal life section etc. Also, what are you on about regarding censoring of the play? That is ridiculous - I included it [1] here. I am sorry for not being polite, but I think you are being out of order here and misusing words such as "edit warring" and "vandalism". DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 12:36, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Your original edit on 14 July removed any and all mention of the play entirely. Your current edits introduce incorrect info, such as referring to the play as a comedy when it's a comedy-drama, and removing other relevant info such as the fact the production is a revival of a 2017 play. Can you explain why? Starhunterfan (talk) 12:42, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, the original edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ashling_O%27Shea&diff=1310237104&oldid=1300466145) posted by an IP was flagged as a possible BLP issue, and since it had sensitive information regarding BLP I removed it. I was meant to add the information using more reliable sources later that day but ended up having some health issues and forgot. Second of all, the "incorrect info" is sourced here [2] which call the play comedy (not comedy drama). Regarding the other relevant info, it is because A.) of the sourcing and B.) The GA review was against adding too much information from primary sources and so I did not want this article to lose its GA status, which I have worked so very hard to get. Also, the reason I reverted your additions was because they are not included in the sources and were also not included in the original IP edits and per WP:STICKTOTHESOURCE it should follow what the source says. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 12:47, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't care that the article is inaccurate then you don't care. You obviously are very possessive over that article, and not willing to work with others, which is a shame. I saw the play three times and want the play to be accurately represented, as lesbian representation is important.
I'm sorry for your health issues but you could easily have followed Wiki protocol by tagging it as needing better citations. Surely you can see that removing ALL mention of the fact the play exists will be perceived as censorship?
When you made the original edit back in July, if you had legitimate concerns about the citations, you could easily have simply cut it down to just "In 2025, O'Shea played the role of Jaz in Puppy." You didn't need to remove all mention of the play entirely. Starhunterfan (talk) 13:06, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I do think that is completely unfair. I compromised and added the information back yesterday using more reliable sources. I also did follow WP protocol: WP:BLP says "Material about living persons added to any Wikipedia page must be written with the greatest care and attention to verifiability, neutrality, and avoidance of original research."

I did not leave the play mention as I didn't want to leave unsourced information, and was searching for sources when I then got ill and forgot to write the information in. I am genuinely sorry but I genuinely forgot, and I think it is quite rude to say I am "very possessive" just because I am following the source. It is great that you have seen the play three times but at the end of the day the source information is the most important. I think it is quite unfair that you say I am unwilling to work with others when I have added sourced information regarding the play to the article – if I was unwilling I wouldn't have done that, and I wouldn't have written a message here. I hate arguing with people but I have tried to meet you halfway and it seems to have not worked, and I want to remind you of WP:AGF, which I did in my edit summaries and on here. Also, I do understand the importance of lesbian representation, and it is part of the reason I made the article, as you can probably see from the quote and Hollyoaks prose. Regardless, I hope there's no more bad blood between us and that we can both continue contributing to this encleopyedia together. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 13:15, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I have done an extensive search and all the sources I have found have called the play a "comedy", not comedy drama. But if you find one that says comedy-drama, please feel free to add it. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 13:21, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
